Doubt that he earns more through selling books. Professors are paid really well in germany.

Is this a US thing where curriculums are based on basically one book? Here in germany, often professors just put together their own presentation slides and make them available for the students. The material in the slides of course is based losely on one or more books, but u don’t really need to read or let alone purchase those books. Also, aren’t university libraries a thing in the US? We can get a lot of digital copies of books legitimately for free.
And what majors require u to even read specific books? I did my major in electrical engineering, and there are so many books and even YouTube videos explaining a lot of stuff for free. I mean the mathematics and the physical laws are always the same, so it’s not like they change from book to book.

The rise of lootboxes is equally to blame on those moron players who buy them. Especially the fucking whales, who spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on them. Recurringly. Whales fucking ruin everything they touch. They are to blame why most video games turn to shit, since they show the companies that it is much more lucrative for them to just release new lootboxes with some new super rare items or whatever instead of actually releasing meaningful content. And I mean who can blame them, really? Creating lootboxes barely costs anything wrt to development costs and time, but making new meaningful content does. Fuck whales.

Nah, people are stupid generally speaking. I mean, just look at Apple, they are releasing basically the same phone every year with an increasing price tag and the sheeple keep mindlessly buying it.

Is that in smart units or dumb units?
- Comment on time to eat 1 week ago:
Yeah u save a lot of money as well. I just eat an apple, which is like 50 cents. Most of my colleagues go out for lunch everyday, paying around 10 Euros or so every time. That’s 200 bucks a month only for lunch. Absolutely ridiculous.

Isn’t this game gonna be huge wrt size? Like how would this fit on a single disk. You would prolly need 10 disks or sth like that
- Comment on "Linux? Those guys who like to talk about themselves?" 2 weeks ago:
Yeah I purchased the second drive just when I saw they were about to get really expensive. I actually used my Windows drive recently, cos there was an open playtest of an upcoming game I am looking really forward to, and at that ran only on Windows, although the official release is planned for Linux as well.

Why tf would drinking alkaline water be good for you? I believe it would be bad for u in the long-term, cos that would make ur body produce more stomach acid since it constantly gets neutralized, or am I wrong here?

Yeah no those things are not paid by the schools. The parents pay for this.
- Comment on I love houses that trap heat! /s 2 weeks ago:
Because depending on the country, it is indeed true. Not many houses here in germany have an AC installed. Because it was just fine not having one a decade or two ago.

- Comment on "Linux? Those guys who like to talk about themselves?" 2 weeks ago:
I just got a second SSD and installed Linux on it and in BIOS I set the boot order to boot from the Linux drive. Still have my SSD with Windows 10 in case I need it. During boot, I then can just press F8 and select the boot drive, should I desire to use my Windows 10 drive. Easy.

You don’t. That’s why I am only working 4 days a week (with respectively reduced pay). But it’s worth it, I much rather reduce the money I have available for my free time, but have a much more relaxed work week.
