bridgeburner@lemmy.world 3 days agoI mean just look at the high gas prices (which are still dirt cheap compared to germany) and people don’t realize it is Trumps doing. Or how he slashes Medicaid. Things that are really perceivable in your everyday live and not abstract politics.
So yeah, totally believable that a lot of those people fall for this kinda news.

I work at a nfp hospital and had to hold off on some house reno. Anytime anyone I even suspect is leaning not-left I always say *well that project has been put on hold. With all the Medicare/Medicaid cuts and that being the bulk of our reimbursement…no raises."
Some have a semblance of critical thinking and realize that those cuts actually hurt people while others gaze blankly
