When i was in college, there were reports of people, who took their shoes off at the library while studying for midterms, putting their foot back in to find them filled with jizz.
It happened enough we got a campus wide email that said to not take your shoes off in public spaces lol

Isnt this basically every employee rating scale for their yearly evals?
Most ive seen are usually something like “below/meets/exceeds expectations” and 85% of the company gets meets. Theyre the 0 and a lot of meets are very good employees. Then you have those who basically do 2 peoples jobs in half the time. They Just get it, and the get shit done even if it wasn’t their job. Then there’s those -1 who need so much help they bring down those around them or take so much attention others cant complete their work

I’m in engineeeing and i had a guy who made rounds every morning. Stopped by everyones desk to talk. Got to know everyone on a personal level. He really broke down walls and made awkward engineers comfortable to talk, which only promoted better team work. Hes taken a new job still in the company and i know people still connect with him and use him as a resource.
He was a damn good engineer too, but i miss that about him the most.

Youre old enough that chats didnt have a history, and if they waited long enough, you had to open a different message entirely to remember what you sent them!
Ah the times
- Comment on Good ole reviews 1 week ago:
The amount of times i do this, usually the 1* reviews are all “this replacement part didnt fit my [machine]” or something similar. Usually its just the end user admitting they ordered the wrong thing, and cant take acknowledge theyre the ones who made a mistake

Thats how they sell it. If you buy alcohol, its required to be bagged for some reason. So when you buy 1 drink from a gas station or a liquor store, the brown paper bag is required.
But as the other person said, it does technically cover the label, so it could be anything

Took me a very long time to understand why my go to, Scooter, was being blocked… extra harsh filter catching “cooter” was the culprit. Only discovered because something just * the string so my name was S******

I actually refer to my brother by our last name on specific occasions. His name is Mike, so a lot of his friend groups just call him by our last name because there are too many Mikes. He even gets introduced by our last name so some people don’t even know his real name.
He’s 9 years older than i am. So those people definitely dont know me, and when we meet up at a bar or to watch a game in public, ive just started talking about him by what they call him because its less confusing for them

I learned this lesson after about 5 years into my 15 year career. Busting your ass and going above and beyond just rewards you with more work. When i discovered what i was capable of, rarely did i give over 80%. The bonus there was when something was actually high priority, you can turn it up to 100 and get the recognition for going above and beyond.
If cruised until those moments. Im now outranking some of my peers whole have gone hard and always “exceeded expectations” on their performance eval. Corporate life is bullshit and totally not fair. Its very political and very much a buddy-buddy in group

why not go in as 4+3 instead of 7
Because i want to be with my family?
- Comment on Growth and cuck mindset 5 weeks ago:
Just got back from a florida vacation with my family and my parents (7 total). Just about every place we went had the “mandatory large party gratuity” which was 18%. Honeslty felt relieved that was their expectation because i usually tip more than that

I have a job that prohibits me from having a phone during working hours. It broke me of my dependency and now ive notice people getting irritated if i dont respond in minutes. Some days, they’ll just have to wait til 5 until I can check it again.
But it’s also made me so much less attached. I regularly dont have it on me

Also, no one cares about your grammar policing and it contributes nothing to the conversation

Pains me to see Marathon on this list. The game is so good in so many ways. Gun play, world building, narrative, characters. The quality is truly there. Their problem was that they made the wrong genre. Why they would spend so much time and money on an extraction shooter is beyond me.

Doesnt even know it is in reference to their opinion that miracle whip is superior, not that people dont know the difference.
Hysterical that you call me out for not reading it when your reading comprehension missed the whole point.

if you dont know the difference …
Clearly they know the difference. They just said one was better

Yes, there are people that can’t do that.
I know someone who received a phone call in the morning to ask if they were actually cool with their husband taking a trip across the country with him. Ruined her whole day. Couldnt go to work because she didnt want to cry in the office. She knew about the vacation and was fine with it. Still not entirely sure how that ruined her day, but it did.

This is a thing i learned having girl kids. They still mean you brush away from your scalp, but start at the bottom.
Go a few inches up from the tip and brush down. When thats done, move up again, repeat.
This gets the knots out of your hair instead of pushing them down then giving you a massive rats nest at the tip of your hair. It really does make the process so much easier and my kids complain so much less
- Comment on Zootopia 7 months ago:
Have you seen it?
It gets pretty spooky. They’re are some creatures that are scary, some mood lighting that gets dark. Theyre are chases, and people being stabber and killed with snake venom. While theres no gore/blood, the themes are still there. That kind of thing makes it PG

For me? You get an interview if you apply and have even remotely close to the right skill set. My jobs are extremely technical and specialized though. I had one position sit open 10 months before i got an applicant. I see all these posts about people sending out hundreds of applications to get 3 interviews, and im struggling to get an applicatant at all
I focus on fluid dynamics and heat transfer in jet engines.
- Comment on Add a third, larger bar for "knowing the right people" skills 7 months ago:
Also, if you made a mistake in an interview, that shows nothing about how youre capable of learning from a mistake.
Id rather work with someone who admits they made a mistake and learn from it than a person who “knows it all.”

My wife did basically all the shopping and wrapping.
But i drove across the state christmas eve to pick up the kitten and hid it for hours. And built all the things that needed to be assembled. I was up til about one while she was in bed by 9. Then the stuff that wasnt from santa was built today.
Each parent doesnt need to be involved in everything to still be involved.
