Commercial hand dryers spread disease by blowing viruses and bacteria all over the place.

It’s already my house so who cares

False, most diseases don’t transmit by air, so having dry hands helps more in preventing disease transmission than the supposed harm of hand dryers blowing it around.

Okay, I feel you, but my real issue is that I don’t want them to dry my hands, I want several of them mounted high up on the wall so that after a shower I can just rotisserie myself in front of them like a car at the end of a car wash. Or like naked old men at the YMCA.
The problems are that they blow air that is too hot. You’re going to start sweating, and then why did you shower?
And also, those things are fucking loud. We’re talking ‘hearing loss’ loud. And if you want to use them on your hair, you’re basically blowing them right into your ears! Now, see - I bought this medium-sized shop fan for other purposes. But that fucker blows. And I realized that I could just tuck it away in a corner and stand in front of it after I towel off. Yeah. It might make you a little chilly for a minute, but you won’t spend the next hour getting swamp ass and coffee sweats right as you got clean to start the day.
Instead, if you finish off your shower with a nice blow job, you’ll pop out of your bedroom crisp and dry, like the finest hotel sheets, ready to take on the day. That first harsh edge of your perfume or cologne will be wafted away. Your not-heat-damaged hair will get that ‘touseled in the wind and lovingly teased to perfection by the delicate fingers of angels’ look that will make everyone give you a second glance. It’ll give your pubes a lovely fluffy feeling, and you won’t stick to your clothes or wind up shoving damp feet into non-breathing shoes!DanWolfstone@leminal.space 1 day ago
I don’t share those problems but I do share the vision!
If you have a 3D printer, library near, or a your own shop, you could make a nozzle for it to funnel the air more like a hand dryer would! I know the wide blast is convenient but it feels like it’d be a fun little minigame at the end of the day with a pleasant jet of drying

Woo! Another “justification” for a 3D printer!
It’s practical, lol.

What would I casually blow my nose on as I walk by?

I need a professional blow job.

This is me explaining why bathrooms and showers/tubs should be separate rooms. I think Japan has depictions of this in anime that I’ve seen.
It just makes no sense to me to have both the shitter and the shower/tub be in the same space. Plumbing-wise, maybe it does make sense. Functionally and me personally, I think it’s stupid them being in the same space/room and it’s just a shortcut they’ve labeled as “standard” when it isn’t ideal.

Hard disagree. The only benefit I can think of from having the shitter and the shower in different rooms would be if you live with many different people and have bad time management.
A wetroom gives you much more open space, and it also has basically everything many people do in the morning: toilet stuff, brush your teeth, take a shower. An added bonus is that it’s much easier to clean.

Upvoting not ‘cause I agree but I respect your opinion. ✌️

This seems more common in Europe, where the toilet is in its own room down the hall. What I don’t like about that is often that means people walking around the house with unwashed hands as they make their way to a sink. In the US you will find something like that most often where the master/owner’s/primary bathroom has a water closet with the toilet in its own little room in the bathroom. That can be handy for couples and feels like it contains the toilet germs more.

Uh, the toilet should absolutely have a sink too. I don’t recall seeing any non-discount setups where this wasn’t the case. For example, my apartment right now has toilet and shower in separate rooms, each with a sink. Euro-based.

So you no longer and to fully dry your hands at home?
You going to switch to rubbing them on your pants after the hand dryer half dries them?
PotatoesFall@discuss.tchncs.de 1 day ago
A good hand drier can fully dry your hands with some patience. As long as it’s not one of the really old shitty ones

Doodle of the guy from the explaining conspiracy meme grabbing a commercial hand dryer on one hand and gesturing with his other hand as if to convince a person to purchase the hand dryer. A price tag of $999 is attached to the hand dryer.
