I have been to a few apartments like that, typically parties at some friend’s. We’re talking toilet with no sink and no trashcan. One time it was especially disgusting and unlucky: first time at that place, didn’t know it was like that. I was on my period and absolutely had to change the tampon. I had no idea what to do…

WaxRhetorical@lemmy.world 1 day agoUh, the toilet should absolutely have a sink too. I don’t recall seeing any non-discount setups where this wasn’t the case. For example, my apartment right now has toilet and shower in separate rooms, each with a sink. Euro-based.

I haven’t spent extensive time in Europe but I’ve seen that setup three times in Czechia, Austria, and France, which made me think it has some level of commonality
