And you too. People from regular families don’t realise it can be upsetting seeing all the happy jolly Father’s Day stuff on TV or social media. All the people who come from DV situations, absent fathers, neglectful etc; hope they can feel that it’s ok. It’s not your shame it’s theirs.

Did you know father’s day was invented so instead of trying to remember every dad’s birthday throughout the year they grouped all their birthdays onto one day for everyone to forget instead?

It’s frustrating how long games take to download. When I buy a game I want to play it now, not hours away. I tried Fallout New Vegas because it had a much quicker download time, but I wasn’t enjoying it so ended up returning it.

    source
    • Pilk@aussie.zone ⁨1⁩ ⁨year⁩ ago

Not sure if you’re using Steam but in the past I’ve found changing download region to a city that is at like 4 AM time zone is often a lot faster than local servers.

      source
    • StudChud@aussie.zone ⁨1⁩ ⁨year⁩ ago

You… You returned Fallout New Vegas?

      But my boy Boone! 😭

Fuck my life Iocked myself out of my apartment. Called a locksmith. Time to go broke

    source
    • Force_majeure123@aussie.zone ⁨1⁩ ⁨year⁩ ago

The locksmith said he will write up that it was a fault with the lock and not my own dumb ass forgetting the keys. I don’t think I can try claim it from my landlord though… Feels quite theft-like

      source
      • DolphinLundgrin@aussie.zone ⁨1⁩ ⁨year⁩ ago

Surely stealing from landlords is entirely encouraged, like Colesworth and Bunnings

        source
    • SituationCake@aussie.zone ⁨1⁩ ⁨year⁩ ago

Yeah this happened to me once when I lived in an apartment. If you don’t have a spot to hide a spare key, leave one in your car, or slide one into your wallet.

Do you think I should donate the cat stuff Melbcat doesn’t use? It feels really mean but I really need to declutter and tidy and there’s stuff she’s never touched.

      It’s not mean, it’s stuff.

I don’t think Mr Woof will be getting a walk today. Too much chance we will get blown away, plus predicted hail and thunderstorms. Definitely a huddle inside day.
