That’s the look of “you’re giving my stash to the outside kitties, explain”.
anotherspringchicken@aussie.zone 1 year ago
I can see his ribs from here
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 1 year ago
If it makes you feel any better I only found out Gibson was a she when I took her to the vet the first time lol

Just got off a translation services call at work. I quote the translator: “She is swearing at you now, she wants me to translate swearing words”
SituationCake@aussie.zone 1 year ago
I hope the translation was coming entertaining like ‘May the donkey fleas bite your privates and your mother is a pond algae’
PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberries
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 year ago
That’s funny 😂. I would’ve said “Hit me”.
Duenan@aussie.zone 1 year ago
In a bit of good news I don’t think I have to deal with my aunty anymore.
fingers crossed

Went to the toy aisle at kmart to get a mates 1 year old a couple of toys for his birthday.
I haven’t been in that section since I was probably 10. Nostalgia!
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Looking at toys is one of the joys of Xmas shopping. So many good fun things. 😊

Day 4 of sickness, still a snotty horrible mess. Used tissues all over the place. Forcing myself to do some work as to-do list is piling up and no sick leave and all. But my brain says migrate to the couch and watch TV all day.

so many hugs at arms length
here is a honey lemon tea and some toast 🍯🍋🫖🍞🔥🧈

Turns out I’m very fussy when it comes to buying a word search book.
LowExperience2368@aussie.zone 1 year ago
It’s okay, you’re just searching for the right words.

Eeep - weather!
SituationCake@aussie.zone 1 year ago
So cold outside. Took advantage of the rain ending to take rubbish out to the bin, the air was seriously icy. I’m staying inside for the rest of the day despite the sun showing itself. It’s a ruse.
anotherspringchicken@aussie.zone 1 year ago
I am frozen
Force_majeure123@aussie.zone 1 year ago
I hate weather 🤬
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 year ago
no beach today 🥺
just_kitten@aussie.zone 1 year ago
The weekend’s looking pretty ordinary too. Ugh. What are the chances it’ll all start magically improving in August by the time I go away?
Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Perfect for reading in bed with a cat asleep next to you.
That’s basically it really lol
Duenan@aussie.zone 1 year ago
The rain finally stopped here and the sun is out but that wind looks yucky.
I think it might rain again soon so I hope the sun can last till i get home.
RustyRaven@aussie.zone 1 year ago
I had a brief patch of blue sky and managed to time a brief dog walk to take advantage of it. It didn’t last long and it’s back to raining again now.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 year ago
So warm last night. And the night before it was cold. I need my fucking sleep or I get angry.
RustyRaven@aussie.zone 1 year ago
I stayed in bed late, hiding from the raging winds and rain outside. Current feels like temp is -3.1^o^ (although the actual temp has made it all the way up to 8^o^). This is probably heading your way, so you might want to brace yourself.
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Yeah it’s raining and pretty windy now.
Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 year ago
so it’s not just me then, some nights really are strangely warm
CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Yeh nah wasn’t just you.
Duenan@aussie.zone 1 year ago
It was about 12-13 degrees last night when I went to sleep.
Pretty warm compared to what it has been lately.
MeanElevator@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Got up this morning and instinctively put on the ducted heating. About 15 minutes I turned it off when I realised it’s not that bad.
Thornburywitch@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Same here. Didn’t even need the heating to shower in comfort for the first time in a month or more. Big rain incoming though.
Duenan@aussie.zone 1 year ago
It wasn’t even cold when I left for work this morning, thankfully I always check the temp before going to bed as I seem to be more sensitive to it these days.
Back down to 9c tonight

I used my rice cooker to make coconut rice for the first time and I’m sitting here wondering why I’ve never done this before.
SituationCake@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Is it a full replacement of water with coconut milk or a blend?
Duenan@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Waiting for a phonecall.
Passing the time by playing a video game.
Then dinner!
Also keeping warm with blanky.
SituationCake@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Hopefully all well with the phone call!

I’m listening to a boring podcast about life in Soviet Era Ukraine.
TheWitchofThornbury@aussie.zone 1 year ago
There’s a delightfully unhinged novel called A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian by Marina Lewycka that I think you would enjoy very much. If you haven’t found it already that is. A best seller in its day and stands the test of time. Does not noticeably contain tractors.
useless_modern_god@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Mystery and adventure….somewhere
SituationCake@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Not at my place either!
SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 1 year ago
Bad night of sleep, feeling headachey, chucked a sickie. This week just feels awful. Feeling very conflicted and nervous and hoping it doesn’t bleed into my holiday week!

There are nice people in the world. Got home, it was bin night yesterday and so I went to collect my bins which were half full of water from the rain. The tradies who are renovating the house next door saw me struggling with the big recycling bin and swooped in and emptied it out and put it away for me. And the other bin too. I feel blessed.
Duenan@aussie.zone 1 year ago
That sounds so wholesome.
