My issue with foods like these is that the eggs get overcooked and the sulfur ring forms around the yolk, you probably want to cook the eggs to be more runny so it doesnt overcook while you cook the outer layer
kogasa@programming.dev 2 weeks ago
Yes, the egg needs to be barely cooked before battering and frying, which makes it really annoying to shell + batter + fry them
CaptnNMorgan@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
The yolk is waaay too hard
FatTony@lemm.ee 2 weeks ago
They harder they are, the better they fit.

Vinny_93@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago

I made these with quail’s eggs once, they’re a right fucking about but well worth it

This looks amazing. I’ve been looking for restaurants that have these but am coming up short. Some places have pictures of them but nothing on current menus. Hoping I find somewhere.
cybervseas@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
I’ve never seen them in an Indian restaurant. Mom makes them very well. Sorry!
Botzo@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
I need this in my life.
