But the graphite in mechanical pencils break so fucking easily. They were always a headache, and unless the technology has advanced significantly in the past 10-15 years, that’s my stance.

I’ve never touched a mechanical pencil that didn’t suck. 7 is awful, I don’t understand what people like about it. The only choice on this is 3.

This really deserves at least 3/4 the amount of upvotes as the one it’s responding to

That sounds awful. Just take a wet shit. I did it as a kid more often than I wish I had to, but I’m glad I didn’t hold it in
- Comment on nets 3 weeks ago:
I’m not talking about people with ancient tribal knowledge. Everybody who can, absolutely needs to do their best to reduce plastic. But there are people who live in poverty that feed themselves and others by fishing, who don’t have the time or knowledge to weave their own nets, and frankly don’t have the capacity to care about anything that far into the future.
Making it sound like it’s just as much an individuals responsibility as it is a corporation is not the right strategy, and is simply unfair to a lot of people that aren’t 100% sure they’ll be going to sleep with a full stomach. Everyone on the planet should be trying to reduce plastic, but when the fingers start pointing, they should only be pointing at corporations. Pointing any amount of fingers at anyone else is what the corporations want. Tax the rich.
- Comment on nets 3 weeks ago:
For sure, but commercial fisheries can afford it by can simply selling their fish at a higher price. The people feeding their family, might not have the kind of resources needed for that to be viable
- Comment on nets 3 weeks ago:
But then they’ll have to replace them more often. Unless this is referring to commercial fishing. My first thought was for people trying to feed their kids, but while I was writing I realized the big fishing companies are way more likely to be close to 100% responsible

Not even comparable😂 Americans look back at this and laugh or cringe, Brits still eat their old-timey slop

Maybe “worse” in the sense of health, but certainly not taste.

- Comment on After shutting down several popular emulators, Nintendo admits emulation is legal 2 months ago:
Plenty of people do or use a lot of things that more people don’t. My point was that not everyone knows what a SteamDeck is. You rebutted by saying people on steam know what it is. Do you not see how terrible of an argument that is? You were basically conceding, but you worded it like you weren’t trying to make my point, even though you did.
Yes, people on steam know about the SteamDeck, the majority of the US and world population, do NOT know what steam is. Therefore, by your own logic, most people don’t know about the SteamDeck.
- Comment on After shutting down several popular emulators, Nintendo admits emulation is legal 2 months ago:
and regularly markets the SteamDeck to it’s user base.
Exactly my point. If you aren’t using steam, you probably won’t see marketing for it.
- Comment on After shutting down several popular emulators, Nintendo admits emulation is legal 2 months ago:
Not sure why this is getting down votes. Price is the key factor most parents look at, and most people who aren’t into technology probably don’t know what the steam deck is or know what “gaming on Linux” means. That is what is stopping a good friend of mine. Price is a huge factor, but the intimidation from lack of knowledge is just as big

Yes. It immediately stops when you open the door.
- Comment on Man trapped inside driverless car as it spins in circles 2 months ago:
That’s interesting. It always stops for me whenever I open the door. I wonder if I’m special🤔
- Comment on Man trapped inside driverless car as it spins in circles 2 months ago:
😂 I don’t understand your point. He was in a parking lot and could have safely exited at any time if he felt unsafe. Using waymo is a choice, and being a new technology, it has a few bugs that as far as I can tell have never been life threatening. Before I got a car, about a month ago, I was using Uber for years and Waymo (when it became available) whenever it was too hot for my dog to walk to work. I have only had ONE Uber driver who gave me the impression that they were a safer driver than Waymo. In my own anecdotal experience Waymo is SIGNIFICANTLY safer than human drivers
- Comment on Man trapped inside driverless car as it spins in circles 2 months ago:
And these self driving cars are doing that how?
- Comment on Man trapped inside driverless car as it spins in circles 2 months ago:
He’s a Karen, but it has nothing to do with the cars. Self driving cars will definitely be the norm in the future (as long as society doesn’t collapse). This incident is so minor. It’s only a story because the dude was an idiot and people love shitting on innovation
- Comment on Man trapped inside driverless car as it spins in circles 2 months ago:
Did he try opening the door? I haven’t watched it, but whenever I open the door in a waymo, it immediately stops
- Comment on Man trapped inside driverless car as it spins in circles 2 months ago:
I didn’t watch the video, but was he really not capable of opening the doors? I’ve taken a waymo quite a few times and it used to try dropping me off in front my neighbors house instead of where I live, so I would just open the door and it would immediately stop

“there’s nothing to necessarily imply it was anal sex.” Except for the comment I was replying to said anal sex and the post these comments are under is about anal sex. I definitely think holding a shit in during anal sex is incredibly more dangerous than during normal hetero sex
- Comment on Actual shitpost 2 months ago:
Holding in a shit before, during or probably even after anal sex can’t be a smart idea
