That’s not white guilt, it’s just racism. Not every form of racism need you to dress up like a ghost with a pointy hat.

It’s funny you feel the need to inverse the genders in your story because you realise how ridiculous your point is if we stuck to the original genders.
- Comment on The European Commission's answer to SKG: "The Commission considers that at this stage it cannot propose a legal obligation to keep video games playable after they stop being provided commercially." 1 day ago:
Quite a deep and complex comment, thank you for taking the time to write it out.
You did omit the part where it is relevant, unfortunately

Of course these people benefited too. Why do you demography in Asia/Africa boomed over the last century?

They’re not ASCII characters you dipshit. Learn how to use a computer before going around lecturing others.

Lemmy and the twittosphere lose their hive-mind when the trans topic comes up. What they don’t understand is, when everything is outrageous, nothing is.
- Comment on Slice of ketchup anyone? 3 weeks ago:
The trick is, they don’t use ketchup in restaurant burgers. Not good ones at least…

Piefed has its share of problems, I wouldn’t argue they’re better. Or at least not better enough to warrant a migration
- Comment on Why are Steam games priced unfairly in Euros indifferent to where one resides? 1 month ago:
Most digital goods are already georestricted, I wonder if there’s anything stopping Valve from working with that. Maybe gamers are more likely to use VPNs than the average Netflix/Spotify etc. user. In any case, another thing where my eastern European neighbours suffer needlessly.
- Comment on it's a matter of motivation 2 months ago:
Lol what MD is the goto job for making easy money. Getting the degree is difficult because everyone wants to do that job, not because it’s difficult per se

How many people skip a visit to the doctor because of the waiting time?
- Comment on 🫤🤬🥴 2 months ago:
Germany has mostly a public health system and yet doctors are mostly not to be trusted. Public sector can also be pressured into cutting corners

They sure like talking about their bread a lot. No one beyond their borders understands why however.

Snails are not a northern France thing though (unless you have a loose definition of north). It’s mostly central, with a huge correlation with tourist hotspots

Lol sausage and ketchup, let’s pretend you didn’t mention Currywurst.
Spätzle might be the one exception, although the Swiss make it better.
Sausages, I don’t get your fetishization of it here. A random merguez from the local Arab place is still better than these.
And bread… Yeah, a billion sorts of it, still worse than a random French bakery’s baguette.
Germans never wonder why there’s no German restaurants abroad, go figure
- Comment on My culture also loves music, dancing and telling stories 5 months ago:
These people eat the local version of it. I personally like to go to MacDonald’s in France. Better than any German dish I can find here. Yet I shudder when I recall what that crap tasted like in the USA

- Comment on Management lingo irritates me the most actually 6 months ago:
There are many papers that try to sound smarter by using the formal names/concepts of otherwise ubiquitous things, and those can be annoying. At least that’s my impression in compsci. E.g. no need to write a whole paragraph about the definition of an N-norm if you’re just using L1/L2

And these machines exist, it’s simply that the cost makes it hardly profitable. Any decrease in oil prices make recycling plastic that much less profitable
