- Comment on When the Democrats regain power, their centrist leadership will claim, "We can't do anything because...". Don't be fooled. We need to get the corporate centrists out and real progressives in! 18 hours ago:
I don’t think that OP is expecting Democrats or Progressives to get things through the Trump administration without a supermajority that can override his veto. What we are hoping for/expecting is that Democrats and Progressives to say “Fuck you, we’re passing this bill and sending it on.”
Medicare for All? “Fuck you we’re passing this bill, veto it motherfucker!”. Taxing rich people? “Fuck you we’re passing this bill, veto this PDF”. Repealing the Medicare cuts? “Hey, asshole, we passed it, oh and go fuck yourselves”. Repeal the procedural filibuster? “Fuck it, we’ll do it live!”. Impeachment? “Hey, it’s Tuesday, this asshole just did something unbecoming of the office, guess it’s time to have another impeachment hearing, oh and fuck you, that’s why.”
Just try instead of rolling over on day one, what we’re asking for even if you know it’s destined to fail and show that you’re willing to do the work. Back your shit up with actions instead of just words of “Well it’ll never pass so we’ll never try”. Say what you will about Republicans, when they get in power, they do not give a fuck and will introduce every bad idea in their head and dare the President to veto it and that’s why their base votes for them consistently.
That’s what OP I think is asking people to remember.

- Comment on Palworld lead worries Steam early access has "lost its meaning": players treat it like "a normal game" and the program has been "abused for a lot of reasons" 1 day ago:
Personally I treat early access like kickstarters at this point, I just avoid them by and large because of the rampant issues with delivery.
Unless the policy changes for early access and allow me to request a full refund if the game is abandoned and allow for something like a week of evaluation after 1.0 to determine if crap was released, I doubt I would buy most early access games at this point.

Jesus, just stop typing.
You’re been wrong at every turn because you’re the shining example those weekend of a three dunning-kruger effect. So confidently incorrect even with literal research at your fingertips that you refuse to use.
It’s embarrassing.

Not anytime soon since gamers are still overwhelmingly indicating they will pay out the nose for the latest graphics.

Can’t wait for this vendor lock even more now.
So developers will create crap models, crap lighting, and then let DLSS 5 take care of the rest and now not only will AMD and Intel users get a subpar gaming experience, so will the bulk of Nvidia users who can’t afford the flagship card.
The future of gaming looks bright, like a train in a tunnel while your on the tracks.

As long as the AAA studios are generating shareholder value this will be the future unless the workers push back collectively and hard AF because the average gaming isn’t going to do crap to push back on this.
Developers and workers in general are nothing more than a reoccurring cost account to most businesses, a faceless void where money goes to instead of shareholders and executive compensation.
- Comment on Walmart actually teaches their employees how to get food stamps 1 week ago:
So this has been the case for over twenty years now with people “discovering” this well known and well documented practice of keeping employees below full time to keep them from giving benefits. Hell it was exactly like this when my sister was working there as a teenager.
I mean this is kind of what is wrong with America honestly, memories of a gold fish and one of the reasons why no progress ever gets made.

- Comment on Groceries are expensive and they're too busy talking about culture war 2 weeks ago:
I mean it’s their whole effective schtick after all because Americans are not intelligent. Loud and repeated is the truth to so many Americans when they have little to no critical thinking skills. Whoever is the loudest, the fastest, the most obnoxious is the victor of the debate when it comes to the vast majority of the American electorate.
it’s sad but it works and it make tons of money promoting this type of discourse instead of actual boring, proper debate and discussion.

Always nice to see a company be pro-consumer, pro-gamer in these times of corporate greed that see gamers as nothing more than psychological manipulable profit.

- Comment on Physical Video Game Software Dollar Sales Plunged to an All-Time July Low of Just $85 Million in the US — the Worst Total Since Tracking Began in 1995 2 weeks ago:
x.com/charlieINTEL/status/2079561875507826898
Notice that since 2009 the trend of physical media sales. This isn’t a new thing here and was a trend that well before this whole “scandal” of getting rid of physical media from the three console makers.
It was the gamers that moved away from physical media well before the industry made these decisions. It was the gamers that decided convince is more important than having a physical copy of a game. This was something that the gamer market brough largely by themselves and you should focus on making sure we have the same rights over digital goods as we do with physical media, including the ability to sell our keys withing the ecosystem.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m still an advocate for having physical media but I’m not going to be some kind of hypocritical outrage machine when I myself have so much more digital games vs physical games and basically treat physical media as a treat just like vinyl.

I mean EA as a company, sure.
EA executives that have it’s the bullshit price and accomplishment, absolutely, may the get the slice of karma they all deserve.
EA employees who had no say in most of the pride and accomplishment, not as much.
