Makes you wonder given the timing of announcing every tier of game pass will how include (very) limited monthly cloud gaming hours. I think I saw ultimate would include 15 h/mo. With yet unannounced pricing on how much an extra hour would cost, what if ads end up being their solution… 🤔

This kind of research is awesome and important. There are so many mosquito-borne illnesses, and anything we can do to better understand their behaviors (and how they vary across species!) can improve health outcomes and even save lives.

Other platforms don’t copy features like that because community isn’t part of their value. Steam has chat, availability indicators, badges, forums, curator lists and in that lens comments on reviews make sense. I don’t use these features much but they’re there.
I don’t think Nintendo, Epic, Microsoft, Google, Apple trust their customers enough to let them talk to each other. It’s a lot of work to manage, too. They just want to be more like a b&m store, where they control the presentation as much as possible.

If these developers want to make billions and billions of dollars on slop micro transactions and loot boxes, they can figure out how to detect these things and run more of their infrastructure server side.
