Lunch was a salad roll, dinner will be cold roast chook and rice salad. Watermelon in the fridge for snacks, enough of everything for tomorrow too. I appreciate past me for ensuring future me does not have to cook on these hot days.

Actually slept well last night as I passed out from exhaustion
and a couple of ALDI vodka coolers.Did my first water walk of the season and came back to find there’s a nice cool breeze so it’s actually better than yesterday.

I am gonna go see Oppenheimer finally. I am only about six months out of the loop but found somewhere still playing it, and in 70mm. I am looking forward to three airs of movie theatre aircon.

I forgot to put the tinfoil on the afternoon-sun-facing windows and screen doorways off with blanket curtains. This mild summer caught me slipping.
(I can’t just shut doors because cat accesses different things)

I’m out at the Ballarat botanic gardens extremely grateful for canopy shade atm. Only reason I slept last night was the aircon keeping the place from getting too hot, a good dose of melatonin, and knowing I had to be up at 6:30am today. After lunch we’re just gonna chill out with air-conditioning until the sun starts going down. By the time I get to Melbourne it better not still be in the 30s :(
Tomorrow back to being safely ensconced at home

Moving over to Moama today. I was going to be coming home today but with that heat still sticking around I’ll stay in my cheap motels with their kickass split systems thanks.
Time to shower and head off to my favourite local cafe for an eggs benny and an iced coffee before I hit the road.

It’s a nice day to be partying late at night but far out I’m exhausted, woke up at 6:30am and just waiting for an uber home after dropping my niece off at her dorm in the city. Fingers crossed my unit has remained cool. I’m so glad I have nothing on tomorrow

Here’s hoping my local pharmacy is open tomorrow. I forgot to grab my meds yesterday, and they close on Sundays. I’m the person who leaves their script with the pharmacy because I lose it.
Was wondering why I was feeling overly emotional, it’s been a long while since I’ve felt them. Only twigged when the brain zaps started. 😅

Fucking dog decided to have a 3am bark party at the possums and bats. I yelled at him and he shut the fuck up but I was wide awake. Luckily it seems like a drunk nap because the heat is shit day.

Installed the Alfred security camera app on an old phone and my phone yesterday, and have been tinkering. I’ve found it’s a lot of fun playing with these things. Now wishing I had kept some of our old phones… Mr P went through a stage of dropping phones and smashing the screen but the camera still worked. Would’ve been handy to set them up as security cameras as well.

I’m trying to finish my playthrough of Baldurs Gate 3 ATM, and my partner just bought Rogue Trader so I want to try that while he’s at work. My PC is protesting presently haha
