So, RFK?
Comment on SHAME.

Who in this day and age wouldn’t drink pasteurised milk?
Besides like, properly stupid people, or people who think it’ll give them religious powers and other such nutters.

The Meatcanyon videos will be glorious.

Who drinks milk at all? I get a giant zit immediately after having some.
scytale@lemm.ee 1 month ago
I’m lactose intolerant but I use a little bit of lactose-free, 0% fat milk for my coffee in the morning because the alternatives (almond or oat milk) just don’t taste as good with coffee.
stiephelando@discuss.tchncs.de 1 month ago
Just drink it black. After two cups you get used to it.
bananabenana@lemmy.world 1 month ago
It’s really brand dependant. Honestly recommend trying brands till you find a good couple. Some oat and almond are smooth AF. I like Vitasoy and So Good, for example. Not a shill, just took brute forcing brands.

If it’s ultra pasteurized you should be fine, but as in all things, do your own personal threat analysis.

Growing up I used to down pints of milk, couldn’t get enough of the stuff
zephorah@lemm.ee 1 month ago
Half & half in coffee. We go very unprocessed and cook in my household. So I buy half and half which is just milk and cream. It’s delicious in coffee. It’s also ultra pasteurized. A little heat in the name of microbe death is great.
Apart from that, milk is a cooking ingredient. Again, ultra pasteurized.

Yeah, we’ve got those who promise themselves health benefits from drinking raw milk. I have the impression that this is mostly prevalent in esoteric people, as usual with such stuff.
But such beneficial claims of raw milk consumption appear to be not scientifically sound and are a myth.

esoteric people
Believe it or not, they have dictionaries online now.

Isn’t “esoteric people” an accurate description?

I’ve seen Europeans make the fact that Americans don’t generally drink unpasteurized milk into a “yanks dumb” thing
BuboScandiacus@mander.xyz 1 month ago
You can buy unpasteurized milk in europe in a supermarket ?
DaBPunkt@lemmy.world 1 month ago
Seeing the other post about France: It depends on the country. In Germany you can’t (only direct at the farm). Saw a documentary some weeks ago about Spain where they said that it is also forbidden (the journalist wanted to drink raw camel milk).
DaBPunkt@lemmy.world 1 month ago
Just re-checked: In theory you can buy raw milk in Germany in a supermarket. It is called Vorzugsmilch then. But I never saw any
Hadriscus@lemm.ee 1 month ago
yes, filtered but not pasteurized (France)
Lennny@lemmy.world 1 month ago
Raw milk is silly…but also, now are the banned cheeses unbanned? Probably not cazu whatever the fuck, the Sardinian maggot cheese but there’s stuff like brie, but raw, that’s apparently yummy.
whoisearth@lemmy.ca 1 month ago
Someone commented on Lemmy a whole ago that cheese with raw milk is different. Coles notes is the good bacteria out-competes the bad ones.

Those who take horse medication to fire COVID… probably

This is likely more in the crunchy, no measles vax set of dipshits, not MAGA.

i’d bet the Venn diagram of both groups would overlap in more than 90%
