- Comment on If a person wrote a song and thought it would be great by a certain singer, and ask nothing in return. Just the enjoyment of it getting made. How would they go about that? 2 weeks ago:
Who would sign the contract though?
- Comment on How come they don't do a cooking show for poor or middle class people? Something that is under 10 bucks that will last a couple days and be great. 2 weeks ago:
In Germany, there’s a cookbook written by someone who only used Aldi ingredients. It’s called “Aldi dente” and focuses on cheap and delicious meals. It’s a couple of years old by now so Idk if it’d still works but might be worth looking at

the part where we use pesticides, fertilizer and other techniques to make sure these plants don’t die. they’re bred for usefuleness, not for surviving in the wild. this is basically true for all crops we farm
- Comment on If the color of the Sun was orange, wouldn't the clouds and everything white also be orange? My friend is adamant that 30 years ago the "real" Sun was orange but got replaced with a white LED. 5 months ago:
Seconded. The friend is likely going through a mental illness.

Many plants have both sexes at the same time, it is not uncommon. And some plants change sex under some circumstances, e.g. Papaya trees can do that

I read Bregman’s book and can recommend it. The boys in question collaborated, grew crops and fished. Whenever they had a fight amongst them they’d retreat to cool down. One of them broke his leg and the others cared for him.

Plastic is mimicking certain hormones and I’m suspecting that the recent rise in cancer rates is linked to plastic intake.

According to a book I read (Breath by James Nestor) you can shape this part of your body your entire life. There are devices that will widen your jaw to help you breathe. Mewing also relies on your body’s ability to reshape itself. I would very strongly not recommend to suck on your thumb as an adult!
