Yea, I read that a few weeks ago and it convinced to not touch Doom TDA. I mean, maybe pirate it, but certainly not buy it.

If I ever replay it I’m going to try and remember the existence of this mod because it was painful

I feel CP2077 does great with regard to storytelling and exploration (plenty of nooks and crannies in and around Night City), wildlife is nonexistant though. A Witcher game played in first-person would be cool though.

And some of them are duplicates ! I discovered THREE identical locations just roaming about ! the same dungeon layout ! but different loot. Can you believe that shit

Exactly. What made Morrowind’s sauce was discovering all these places on foot

Once there was a young father with his two children talking over the movie. The movie was a documentary of sorts about wolves, but it was filmed from the perspective of a lone man who went to camp in the mountains to observe them, so it was quite magical. And the kids would talk in amazement whenever the film showed a wolf cub or something. It was a little distracting, but ultimately it kinda added to the wondrous feeling and I shrugged it off -it was fine. But a couple of older people were pissed at the kids, like really pissed. They kept commenting under their beards how it ruined the experience, then they started loudly arguing with the dad. They were the ones breaking everybody’s fun. I stood up, told them I was going to have them expelled, and they turned quiet. I was very happy about my decision this day

I bought it on confidence when it released. That was the last time I ever did this. I played 25 very boring hours and uninstalled it. It’s very difficult to figure out how you can fail so spectacularly with such a budget, such a long development time, and such a carte blanche with making a new universe from scratch

They can’t just be rendering on top, the visuals would clash with collisions. Some of the assets we’ve seen in captures are different enough from their legacy counterparts that they would cause all sorts of issues while playing. Also, they wouldn’t be able to increase the forest density, because trees have collisions. I’m pretty sure this is a remaster
