As someone who spends 10+hr a day working outside I can assure you that being outside and doing physical activity does very little to aid my depression.

What do you mean, the best part about working a late shift is that management is at home not fucking around in my business.

- Comment on Every damn day 5 months ago:
I’ve been with this company long enough for to get 15 vacation days a year and 7 personal days even still I have to compete with 300 some people for those days off and only 2 are allowed on any given day and none are approved in the summer if they weren’t requested a year in advance. I’d be happy to not take all the pto if the company would just pay me out for those days at the end of the year or let them keep rolling over but it’s a use it or lose it situation.

Please discuss that under a comment relating to the poor overworked disabled peoples access to food. The topic at hand was is it cheaper to buy fast food or healthy food before you railroaded it. Blocked.
- Comment on Want to lose weight? Poverty can help! 6 months ago:
My comments are in reply to it’s cheeper to buy fast food than healthy food. I pointed out that’s not always the case. I’m not the one using the disabled as a strawman to attack anyone’s point.
- Comment on How does the day-to-day work of not wearing shoes in the house? 6 months ago:
I have a closed 5gal bucket that I empty once a week and keep the recycling in spare cardboard boxes and take them down the street to the center whenever I get enough to fill my car
- Comment on How does the day-to-day work of not wearing shoes in the house? 6 months ago:
I only fill up a trash bag maybe once every 2 weeks. I only take the can down once a month since there’s so little waste. Between composting and recycling there’s so little that actually gets thrown out.
- Comment on Want to lose weight? Poverty can help! 6 months ago:
The points keep changing. Went from cheaper to buy fast food to takes more effort to make food to it needs to be well rounded. The goal posts keep moving. It’s been my experience that it takes less time and money to make a healthy meal at home. I don’t know why that’s a problem to you.
- Comment on Want to lose weight? Poverty can help! 6 months ago:
I’m not claiming to spend an hour making dinner. I haven’t ate fast food in a year mainly because it takes 20min waiting in line and costs way too much for junk unhealthy food. I often eat just scrambled eggs for meals because it is fast and easy. You sure as hell aren’t getting a balanced meal at a fast food chain. You can make excuses for eating that unhealthy junk all you want.
- Comment on Want to lose weight? Poverty can help! 6 months ago:
It takes roughly 5 min and 1$ to scramble up a few eggs. It doesn’t need to take an hour to prepare a decent affordable meal at home.
- Comment on Want to lose weight? Poverty can help! 6 months ago:
I don’t know about that. A combo meal at McDonald’s is inching closer to 15$ in a lot of places. You can go down to the grocery store and get a good amount of food for that much. Healthy doesn’t necessarily mean only the expensive organic, free range, non GMO whatever foods are worth eating.
- Comment on Those who are against iOS and Apple in general, have you tried their devices lately? 1 year ago:
I’m not reading that whole post, but in answer to the title. I just an android for my personal phone and an iPhone for my work phone. I’ve used both side by side for more than the last 10 years. Without a doubt the android phone is more functional and easier to use. I don’t give a shit about cameras, messaging apps, or brand loyalty. The android is more affordable and allows me to send texts, surf the internet, and watch YouTube without adds through vanced. I would never consider getting an iPhone as my personal use phone.

Them being loaded in more ways than one doesn’t make me feel any better about it. This coming from a gun owning liberal. I don’t just go around shooting it off in my back yard several times a week.
- Comment on Is America Really That Bad? 1 year ago:
Live in a suburban area. Several of my neighbors have 5+ acres of land. One of them has a makeshift range, so I hear someone shooting all the time, sometimes for hours on end day after day. I’m not thrilled by it.
- Comment on I think minors need a union, may help with the safety issues at the work place 1 year ago:
Do they really need to be selling junk to people to do fun shit? Can’t the families and community support them without making them labor to sell some company’s junk product for a pittance?
- Comment on I think minors need a union, may help with the safety issues at the work place 1 year ago:
Before I left reddit I was shut down for expressing the option that children should even be laboring to sell cookies, popcorn, or candy bars. It’s all exploitative. Some people think this is character building.
