I grow stuff that’s best from the garden vs a store. Tomatoes, spinach, beans, peppers, herbs, etc. All on my roof. Got dirt from when they dug up the foundation for a nearby house. Got fertilizer from leaf litter and mowed grass from the park. I grow enough of the stuff to not have to buy them.

Lol ‘suspiciously’ as if the Japanese didn’t copy all of China’s homework when it came to literature.

Depending on where you’re going, you could probably get away by saying you’re Korean or Japanese. Much better than American or Chinese.

The craziest thing is monocropping in developing countries without mechanical harvesting. You’re already using human labour, why sacrifice your yield by growing a single, automation-friendly crop?

- Comment on Why are fruits and berries healthy, even though they are mostly just sugar? 5 months ago:
All that sugar is bound up in fiber, making it slower to release and keeping it from spiking your blood sugar into pre-diabeetus. Grind that same fruit down (juice), destroy its fibers, and now you got diabetes in a can.

No idea how himachali parents would react. If they were punjabi, I’d say you were better off not disclosing your situation.

It is also to be noted that I bought minecraft only after I was sure that I would enjoy it. That’s why I played the cracked version for 3 years before my purchase.
- Comment on [deleted] 5 months ago:
It is to be noted that that $30 does not account for the amount of powder used to lubricate the board or the replacement discs. Just as I did not include the cost of upgrading my PC to run minecraft 1.18, the dogshit optimization update.
- Comment on [deleted] 5 months ago:
Somewhere in that neighbourhood, yes. That’s how much I’m willing to pay. My old carrom board lasted me two decades, and it was $30 (with discs). That’s the yardstick I measure games by.

I like to cross my arms across my chest, as well. If it’s good enough for vampires and pharaohs, it’s good enough for me. I have scared the shit out of several roommates, though…i

Last game I ever bought was minecraft, back in 2012(?) for $15. Played it non-stop for a decade before the community imploded. Got my money’s worth. Haven’t bought a game since. No point unless they have a similarly active multiplayer community. It’s a pirate’s life for me.

I had gorgeous golden locks as a kid. The moment I had to wash and comb it on my own, I got it all chopped. Sometime later, I started wondering how I’d look with longer hair. Grew it out. Not bad, but not worth the effort either. Chopped it all off again. I’m a guy btw.
- Comment on Why can't we have a static vintage web? 5 months ago:
Developers are dumb and/or burned out by leadership and can’t be arsed to use the right tool for the right job. New blog? React.j. Ecommerce? React.js. Wiki? React.js. A fucking landing page reading “Coming Soon!”? Believe it or not, React.js. And unless provided by whatever metaframework they’re using this week, forget about appropriately-sized images and videos. You will render a 2000x3000 pixel PNG of the letter A on your 720p smartphone, and you will like it.

With this codebase’s death, the thread of prophecy is severed. Restore a saved commit to restore the weave of fate, or persist in the doomed repo you have created.
