Can you point out a nuclear project that was a quick process? How would removing the profit motive make it quicker?
- Comment on Entropy? Never heard of it. 4 days ago:
Good luck building enough capacity in nuclear power to do that. Nuclear plants tend to be a lot more expensive and take a lot longer to build than anticipated.

I actually had to realize I was depressed first. Therapy helped a lot with my self esteem.

I was 29 years old when I met my first girlfriend and had my first sex and I regret nothing. I didn’t really realize it at the time, but I wasn’t at all ready at 20 years old.

The level design of Half Life 2 is truly amazing. It’s great in a way you don’t even notice because everything just feels so natural.

Disclaimer: I was never an Incel. I held no ill will against women, I always had many female friends. Still, I didn’t ever have a romantic partnership and I suffered from it.
I am 29 years old. This year I started treating my chronic depression I never admitted I had and oh wonder I found a wonderful partner in a matter of months. Incel ideology is so fucked up. These guys seriously need help and support structures but they reject all that and hate half of humanity instead.

It’s not perfect, but it’s served me well over the past ten years. - Comment on What game surprised you with their length? 2 months ago:
The Talos Principle was such a great game! I think I’ll play it again before buying part 2

Just like the bacteria in drinking water, you can’t see it, taste it or perceive it in any way and it poses no relevant health risks. Your bathroom is flooded with poop particles even if you close the lid before flushing. It’s just a fun fact and nothing to worry about, really.

You really do! There are so many goosebump moments in the story!

“I led them to the light. I alone.” I’m getting goosebumps just writing that down. The moment you finally hear him say it in-game after reading it on the loading screens all the time. It all comes together in the end.
I’m on my fourth playthrough right now, Enderal is my favourite video game ever I think.

If you haven’t voted for Harris because of Gaza, congratulations. You sealed the fate of the remaining people living there. The US will increase their support and Bibi will feel more confident than ever. Palestine may be wiped out all together.
It doesn’t fucking matter that Harris isn’t everything you want from a president. She’s far from perfect. I don’t like her policies. The reality is that it was a choice between a conservative and a fascist. America chose fascism and the world will suffer.
Being a leftist and not voting because LoW aPpRoVaL is unbelievably irresponsible and I refuse to make excuses for people who stayed home.

That won’t be a problem. America will simply be towed outside the environment.

Typically, atheists don’t spend a lot of time thinking about gods. Also, most theists aren’t just theists, they follow a very specific religion/god, which is orders of magnitude less reasonable.
- Comment on Currently downloading The Witcher 3 for the first time. Got any advice for me? 4 months ago:
World building and storytelling are top notch.
I personally found the gameplay a little lackluster here and there. Even on the hardest difficulty, I never really had to use potions for example. And looting never felt good to me, it feels very Diablo-esque in that you keep finding a sword that does +2 damage to your previous one. It rarely feels meaningful to loot anything.Still an amazing game of course.

Steam Controller and Steam Deck converted me to controller. Trackpads and touch activated gyroscope are complete game changers. I still can’t play first person games with a thumbstick though.
