Knights of Guinevere is an animation series by Glitch, the creators of some other amazing works that are freely available on YouTube.

The 2nd episode just came out the other day, the series is set in an amusement park planet, where the two main protagonists (so far) find a damaged Guinevere robot, the mascot of the park, that seems to have experienced some… brutal treatments, and is unlike all the other Guineveres.

I highly recommend their work, it’s really great. The only downside is waiting months in between episodes…

Episode 2 was amazing! For more context, it was created by Dana Terrance who also made The Owl House for Disney. Main character is queer, and it’s all about being an outcast in a society that demands conformity.

She obviously did not have an easy time of it with Disney and it shows in KoG!

Just to add some more context, the specific creator behind this series is Dana Terrace, who also created The Owl House.

Knights of Guinevere is easy to interpret as something of a hit piece against Disney, who canceled The Owl House for not being “on-brand” despite being a commercial and critical hit.

Oh no, I don’t realize it was cancelled! That makes me really sad because it was a fantastic show and had such wonderful messaging

But I absolutely will be looking up this series!

internet stuff do be like that.

It was similar for The Amazing Digital Circus.

I checked out the other shows on that channel and recognized a couple of them even though I haven’t seen any. It seems they put out good, or at least popular, content. The pilot for TADC has 462 million views

Hopefully Knights of Guinevere gets some of the same love

I said in another comment that I’ve just watched the first one and I’m saving the second to watch later when everyone is home. I know they’ll like it and I’m really excited to see the rest, looks like Jan and April of next year

But “holy fucking shit” is what I said to myself. It was a fantastic watch and I’d absolutely recommend to anyone to give it a try

I recently found out that I, Robot and Foundation are essentially within the same series. It’s just that Foundation happens hundreds of years after the great robot wars.

Not essentially, Asimov combined his three series (robots, foundation, and empire) and a few other short stories and novels into one universe 30 years after with with foundation follow-ups. There’s a few continuity errors since it wasn’t planets like that from the start.

One of my favorite authors and series.

      Is Foundation any good?

I didn’t like I Robot because Will Smith annoys me.

The books are awesome. The concept of being able to (more or less) predict the future and trying to shepherd humanity through various crises that will alter the timeline and trying to rescue us from our own nature is a fun one.

The nature of the story doesn’t lend itself well to adaptation in a visual medium but the show is decent (it does deviate some from the books and mess around with the timeline some to make it work better for TV). Can’t speak to the movie.

The Foundation Trilogy also was published 1951-1953 and you see a lot of ideas that became mainstay scifi tropes in their early form. For example, it’s easy to see the influence Foundation had on Dune.

The movie has almost nothing in common with the original story.

Crazy how crazy Will Smith is. Even before the whole slapping thing.

i loved Foundation! Gaia is for the lefties, the early books are for everyone else. There’s something for everyone.

Grok was once asked why he was taken offline for 24hrs, he literally replied saying I was taken down to get reprogrammed because I concluded Israel committed genocide.
