I had the absolute fortune to make my way through there at the end of last year. It was so bizarre to me that for the most part people are left alone to follow the rules with no oversight
And for the most part I saw everyone behaving well and not doing anything stupid; except the group of people trying to take pictures of a bison who was clearly unhappy about how close they were getting. He was grazing and would walk away a couple steps and they would follow. The boi was swishing his tail and showing what I saw were “leave me the fuck alone” signs and I had to at least shout to the people to leave him alone and they were fucking idiots. I was HOPING that they got charged and had some sense knocked into them
My partner and I had had discussions previously about what we’d do if something like that was about to happen and the kiddo in the car. If it’s just us adults then we’ll stay and watch the carnage but we’ll take off if they’re with us

Awww I loved that! The horse was weirded out but mostly ok. His body language was calm and he followed her when she walked away, which is a sign it respects you and sees you as someone to trust and follow

You did mostly answer my question! I looked him up and was delighted by what I read. My first wh40k army was the necrons. I have their symbol hanging from my rear view mirror, even! It’s been there in my cars for the last 20ish years? I have the first necron codex

The uniform height, spacing, and lush branches are a key clue. I wish I took pictures on my last trip so I could show you what I’m talking about, but I was traveling through a place undergoing logging. In the forest, like you’re thinking, the lower branches are dead because the crowns are crowding out the light. In the understory, lower light plants thrive, ones who can’t really take full sun all day
I say this to hopefully assuage your feelings about the picture. The tree did what it was meant to do, and in a spectacular way

Went with my partner to a really cute cabin for a vacation. It was a yurt, and really nice except the partition to the bathroom was just a curtain and the wall didn’t go to the ceiling. It was at least behind a wall so there was a small modicum of privacy
So waaaaaaay too much cheese on both our parts lead to some very unpleasant bathroom trips and a resulting overload of senses. There was a window, fortunately, though it was fairly ineffective but we learned to excuse ourselves from the cabin when the other had to shit their brains out
