I read the article but I’m not up to snuff on the particular history. I’m not sure in the painting who is on the right side of history but regardless it conveys emotion beautifully

The people fighting absolute monarchies are always on the right side of history in at least one aspect, the one aspect it often takes to fix the others on a social level.
I always find that last fellow intentionally hilarious. Just avoiding the gaze then he’s just got a full on blindfold
Same here every time I see this meme the blindfold guy makes me giggle.
