- Comment on Is cryptocurrency good for anything? 2 days ago:
To be fair there’s a lot of crypto currency that has/still is a scam. Also I’d argue that BTC, and crypto in general, still is being treated as a security that’s backed by thin air. Ie: it’s a speculative asset that doesn’t actually have any value.
There’s nothing really stopping BTC from crashing hard. It’s so wild to me how people treat it.
I could have bought bitcoin too when it was worth pennies but there was no way to know which crypto the whales were going to bet on for the pump and dump. It’s a missed opportunity but rest assured there’s plenty of universes where Bitcoin amounted to nothing.
- Comment on Anon buys an indie RPG 2 days ago:
I genuinely tried to find it with my Google Fu but I’ve been foiled. Admittedly I spent 5 min or less looking because I don’t actually care but it seemed wild enough it might have been fun to figure the game out.

But they did get fruit loop pieces with marshmallow used to “glue” them to the dispenser, so that’s pretty cute. I mean it’s a lot cuter to imagine than a bunch of horned up rats.

It’s a bunch of jokes for our viewing pleasure? At least I think that’s what’s with them.
- Comment on [deleted] 4 weeks ago:
I mean that’s literally the joke. Haha you thought you were going to see one thing but you saw another.
It’s just another version of 2girls1cup or tubgirl or goaste … Ok maybe us millennials are fucked because all those examples are heinous AF compared to a little rick roll - but I mean, same concept.
Just subversion of expectation, many a joke is built on a version of that - I’d say it’s ultimately what a lot of humor derives from.
Maybe it’s not funny, it might not even be a joke and more of just a meme but if you are searching for an explanation there is one for you.
- Comment on [deleted] 4 weeks ago:
I really need to upload like 10 versions to YouTube with different thumbnails just so the “stupid” “joke” can live on.
I won’t because I’m a lazy POS that doesn’t actually care but … Yeah.
Also I know it’s a joke but I also feel like it’s a good PSA in a way that you should check what you’re clicking on, at least make sure the domain is legit (in this case it is since it’s youtube.com but idk just my random thought about the legendary >!ricki tikki tavi rolly polly!< )

I like to throw stuff like this into Google Translate just to see what it thinks and it told me that’s “Sichuan Spicy Chicken” which seems like an actual good translation!
- Comment on The bushes were people 🤯 1 month ago:
I thought the exact same thing! I expected at one point, with all the excellent choreography happening, that the bushes were for sure going to get involved in the dancing.
I don’t speak Spanish so I didn’t understand what bad bunny was singing but that show was still awesome to watch. The people hating on it must be such losers in real life.

Learning some chemistry basics is probably still good though. Not that we’re using it daily but just in the “hey mixing this stuff can kill you” or, in the same vein, seeing how it only requires small amounts to make big changes.
We’re surrounded by chemicals in our everyday lives, learning a healthy fear of them is probably for the best.
Also high school is meant to prepare you for further education, if you want to pursue that, so it really does cover a lot of ground for basic concepts you need to learn to understand and gain further education in whatever field applies.
- Comment on Someone has a LOT of dusty computers 3 months ago:
They do, just some people don’t care and are happy enough to deal with that and get the high off it. I’m not sure it’s a good high but y’know I guess whatever.
I feel like you can get better highs for cheaper, I don’t really know why people choose to inhale that shit but they do.
If you want to get high off of a gas I’d say it’s way way waaaaaY safer to just inhale nitrous oxide (whippits), It won’t be the same high but it’s probably better overall, can’t say I’ve ever huffed canned air though so can’t do a true comparison.
Just the stuff in canned air is so much worse for your body and brain.

You’re right it was crazy to read. It’s wild what people will do, I was actually impressed by the other case they cited that was similar where a guy got concrete poured in and it cured. They were able to give him relaxers and get the concrete out without surgery. Too bad the glue stuck to the inner walls and couldn’t get taken out without surgery. What an absolutely wild thing to put up your ass though - like I’m not here to shame anyone but just put stuff up there that’s not gonna fucking kill you.

- Comment on Trying to find a messenger bag at Amazon 3 months ago:
Not to be that guy but there’s no way in hell that $700 is true. There are pages of fridges for less than $400 that are 7 cu ft.
I mean, fuck Amazon and all that jazz, don’t get me wrong - I just feel like it’s worth noting the hyperbole. It’s not that bad, at least from an end consumer perspective.
Amazon is admittedly powered by greed and the tears of the proletariat but they do a good job keeping the customer happy.
- Comment on U.S. consumers are so fucked up, that they put more than $1 billion on buy-now, pay later services during Cyber Monday 3 months ago:
No debtors prison but there is a credit score. And that shit is the gateway to paying less for everything when you’re borrowing money. Especially for a mortgage on a house so you actually have equity in the property you’re living in.
Wrecking your credit score basically gate keeps you from a lot of stuff sadly.
I mean, I know you said /s but just saying fucking up your credit can screw you hard in the hyper capitalist hellscape we live in.
- Comment on Fresh dystopian hell from Samsung fridges with ads. 3 months ago:
That sucks. Yeah, fighting is the keyword there.
I mean, I’ll put it this way, I wouldn’t recommend Samsung appliances and won’t buy them again in the future but I have not found any major problems with mine five years on (save the fridge).
I agree though that there are enough bullshit problems that pop up and having a severe lack of good customer service is a combo that’s steering me away from Samsung. However, they are ubiquitous for a reason.
- Comment on Fresh dystopian hell from Samsung fridges with ads. 3 months ago:
I think their appliances are a lot like the rest of their tech. If you get a good one it’s solid for years and years, but God help you if you get a shitty one because their customer service is garbage.
Also idk what crack or other drug their engineer was on that designed the ice box in my freezer but it literally is made in a way that constantly causes problems with ice build up and not being able to dispense ice because of it.
But I will say all the rest of my Samsung appliances and even the fridge aside from that ice box bullshit have been going strong.
I think they also have crap quality control, it reminds me a lot of anything Alienware I’ve owned. Still using a mouse from 15 years ago but also had a keyboard from them die right around the one year mark and it was impossible to get any help from their support.
While I’m ranting huge shout out to turtle beach who’s customer support and care was exceptional. My dog chewed through my headset wires and they shipped me a new one no cost.

He could have politely asked for the supervisor to start vs being a belligerent asshole until one showed up. Alternate take though, if he was nice and asked for a supervisor to start and the person told him no and they wouldn’t get a supervisor - well that’s when you have to actually be the asshole and make enough of a scene one shows up.
That’s like … Very unlikely though, most people will get you their higher up person if it’s necessary to help and you’re being nice.
I hate when you have to be the jerk to get what you need but sometimes you just have to.

I know you’re making a joke just for the record.
But, seriously, you can get some really good Mexican food in Ohio, at least in and around Cincinnati. It goes all the way from authentic abuela selling tamales from a cooler to some texmex deliciousness (shout out to Gomez), then of course the all time classic taco bell.
Also shout-out to tortilleria Garcia, great food.
