This being ai slop is also mildly infuriating.

It is not AI. I found the image used in a nine year old YouTube video.

The concept may he similar, but the image you posted is actually generated or enhanced with diffusion based AI. Look at the pattern of the lines, and his right hand.

It’s not the same image the one in the video is the original, the one above was run through AI look, at the right hand.

Since there is a debate on whether or not the image is AI slop, I took it upon myself to use the 9+ year old image posted in the comments to recreate the meme. Congrations Lemmy on crowdsourcing an “AI free” shitpost! We should make this the default response rather than beating up on OPs. Make a fun activity out of a foul.

And you’ve been told multiple times that the image that was posted is definitely an ai upscale of the image you keep posting. So yes. It’s ai. Stop.

Stop trying to move things towards a positive outcome instead of constant negativity? No, I don’t think I will.

Given the quote you were responding to, I totally expected this kind of spike (although in a quick skim I didn’t actually see him using it on a tomato like he usually does)

I’m not a huge fan of tomatoes in isolation, but there are a lot of very popular foods that incorporate tomato. Hamburgers have tomato. Chili has tomato sauce. Pizza has tomato sauce. Pico de gallo—what most people in the US refer to when they say “salsa”—has tomato.

This is why I grew to hate certain breads in sandwiches. Ones like baguettes with thick crust such that when you bite down you don’t initially bite through it, it just presses down and shoots all the ingredients out of the sides. SMH

    • weeeeum@lemmy.world ⁨2⁊ ⁨days⁊ ago

Yeah. Baguettes and bagels suckkkk if they aren’t super tender. Only been to 1 Bagel shop where they’re soft enough you could eat it like a normal sandwich, and not spill it’s guts everywhere

        would be funnier :)

I went to a burger spot in Prague and they provided everyone with a pair of rubber gloves, and that allowed me to really caress on to the burger and hold all of its contents in place. I didn’t lose my tomato that time, so that was nice. I mean, I don’t like the single use waste, but it was so convenient.

Poorly constructed sandwich. There is a talent to it.

If it’s a sub or something like that, tightly wrap in parchment paper and let it sit for 5-10 minutes or so to let things settle and come together. You will have a much better sandwich eating experience.

If it’s like a hamburger, you probably put too much shit on there. Yes, toppings are nice, but the price you pay for too many is stuff sliding out. Be more selective.

Lastly, if stuff comes out, you probably built it wrong. Tomato goes on burger patty because flats. If you put tomato above ingredientsl like pickles or lettuce, then yeah, it’s gonna want to go diagonal and slide out.

I’ve seen this sentiment a few times online, so I have to wonder how you all are preparing your tomatoes and the sandwiches that they go in? I just don’t seem to have this problem

Cutting them up wrong? e.g. halved/quartered cherry tomatoes

Is it a stacking order thing? e.g. maybe between slices of Gouda?

Overuse of condiments? e.g. too much mayo/dressing around them

I always season tomato slices before using them, as it’s obviously against the Geneva convention to not, so maybe that’s the extra friction the war criminals are missing?

I use toothpicks to make sandwiches at home to keep the slipper stuff in place.
