These whiskers… You can recognise science buns by how their whiskers are burned off at the ends.

If you don’t know about the parasite, I really like this Kurzgesagt video explaining it (YouTube link)

I think work that requires you to study and learn and experience for ages should be paid higher than work you can do without prior experience or know-how.
But you know, reasonably higher. Like 3x at most.

Oh wow, seems like what he’s doing is not as bad as this post makes it out to be, although I’m sure he’s doing it with bad intentions anyways.
Thanks for the sources, kind stranger!

Idk. Is this even real? Is this a real thing that is happening? I guess it’s a meme insofar as it’s a very ridiculous, far-fetched, outrageous thing for the leader of a country to do. And yet, I genuinely don’t know whether to think that it’s true…

The most practical solution is probably to “not sell Linux in California anymore”. I guess distributions could geofence the iso download page for plausible deniability and then that’s that, right?

- Comment on big facts 3 months ago:
You guys, energy, frequency and vibration are all obviously fake. Nobody has ever observed vibration in real life. Go on and try measuring one of those “frequencies”, I’ll wait. Where are you even supposed to find those? “A faucet dripping”? “Your literal heartbeat”? Don’t make me laugh!

Have you ever looked up at a clear summer night sky? Your face will feel cold. Colder than when looking at the ground. That’s because there’s not as much stuff radiating heat at you up there.
- Comment on PSA 4 months ago:
Yeah, kinda. They pay taxes here I guess. Thing is, many morally dubious big tech companies have set up shop here (and also the local government annoyingly kinda sucks up to them), but there are more pressing things and Palantir in particular hasn’t become a common topic of conversation here.
- Comment on PSA 4 months ago:
Oh wow, just found this really interesting article about the Swiss perspective on the thing. Oh how very Switzerland…

Is Palantir a US government mass surveillance thing? If so, then congrats to whoever named the thing Palantir…

Yeah, you’re never gonna live without trucks and vans either, you need those for the last few kilometres of the logistics chain. Still, we should reduce the remaining cars by half at least, and I’m saying that sitting in a train that goes so frequently that I don’t have to think about it.

I love bouldering. In my bouldering gym they have labelled the bathrooms with “bathroom” and “bathroom & urinal” and it works beautifully. I can definitely see that not working out in some other places though.
