I like the idea of that but in this subscription based life it’s just so many to keep track of and time is an extremely limited resource for me.

This hits home today. Just got charged double for a gym membership out of the blue (getting charged even once is bad enough since I don’t really use it). Weekend, no one can help. Money is already gone from my account. Busy AF during working hours this week, but add this on to shit I need to take care of. I’ll also point out that this is a place where businesses will now let me talk to their AI for 20min of complete nonproductivity, but I can’t arm myself with an Ai to take my side because I’m never going to give one access to my credit card info to be able to even discuss this.

I kept trying to figure out how it might be. I’m still left feeling it’s referencing something I don’t understand.

I don’t think it’s weird for people who are pedestrians, have children, or care about the environment we live in to have some pretty strong opinions on this. Your choice to drive a big ass truck has a real implications for other people that didn’t get to play a part in that decision.
- Comment on brb 3 weeks ago:
You’re the one calling it a problem. Different people are wired different. I’m not going to label you like you are me, but 30min is not my jam, I got stuff to do or need to sleep that sounds like a chore to me personally.

Meh, still not happy about their overpromise on drone delivery years ago. Would much rather have a drone drop something off than someone peeing in a cup in a truck.

Is it though? Have you been there or lived in a place with high smog and low air quality? Do you or your child have asthma? I made the comment simply as a note of the current condition - you sometimes literally can have a hard time seeing the city skyline in Beijing and I’ve never been to places like Hotan and other more industrial areas where it is worse.
Living or even visiting a place and saying it’s the trend that matters sounds like politician speak. Tell that to your lungs and brain while you sit in the pollution.
- Comment on Wonder why? 5 weeks ago:
Agreed. But 80% better than awful is still pretty bad.
- Comment on Wonder why? 5 weeks ago:
And have the smog levels outpaced the rest of the world? Have you been recently man? Making great progress yes, but they are starting from way behind.
- Comment on Wonder why? 5 weeks ago:
What you can see of them through the smog yeah.

- Comment on Nerve-controlled prosthetics 1 month ago:
This is very much in the realm of it has to work pretty perfectly to be worth the fuss. As neat as these are most people prefer the simple dumb prosthetics as they are predictable and reliable. The fuss and imperfections and charging etc that come with these make them look cool in demos but most people abandon them in trials.
- Comment on NASA scientists says astronauts should not masturbate in space 1 month ago:
I’d feel awful for anyone that needs to masturbate in space. Zero gravity fornication has got to be the bees knees. I would hope our astronauts are so orgied-out that by the end of the day they really just don’t have it in them to want to do that.

Really just need to give it a try to know. At the bar would be an atypical place to do the whipping out I agree, but invite the cutest one over afterwards and see where it goes!
