I like to meet art where it is. If it’s selling itself as a brain-off kids film, I’m judging it as a brain-off kids film.

Yeah i always rate a film based on how well it does what it intends to, I’m not comparing it to my favourite film, that feels like I’d just be disappointed in 95% of all films i watch and that would such a sad life.

This is why I watched most of the Marvel movies on planes. They’re silly and fun, and if I fall asleep, it doesn’t matter. Scorsese thought they were the end of cinema - dude just chill. If the Spice Girls movie didn’t end cinema as an art, neither will these things.

I will never be ashamed watching the Spice Girls Movie in the theaters.
It was dumb fun, laughed my ass off during the finale, the only thing “bad” about it was when it tried to be serious and dramatic. And those girls are bad at being serious and dramatic.
Also, Spice Girls gave is Geri Halliwell as a solo act and she has some bangers.

It’s the only movie I ever watched, rewound it, and watched it again. I loved it. I also love Geri Haliwell, so I think we’re on the same page here.
Go team Geri!

Yep, critical consideration and standards are bad, only slack-jawed applause at any slop we’re given is allowed!

Some movies I evaluate on a 10.0 scale. Some movies I evaluate on a 5 🍿/ 5 🍿 scale.

AKA gatekeeping for feature movies that will try to replace the classics ones.
Kids will always be kids gatekeeping.

I was bored, depressed and suffering from the current recession. But then the Mandalorian came out, I had an excuse to be fully groomed and dress up. I went and had Chinese food I rarely get just for the occasion. Then spent two hours outside of this hell hole we call reality right now. Tons of action, cute characters and lots of dead Nazi imperials. 5/5

Wow you understand the most basic principles of consumption under capitalism. You must have made it through the first few chapters of Das Kapital.
Too bad you seem to not understand class solidarity and instead use your knowledge to sow discontent and animosity amongst the working class

Good job on trying to look like the smartest guy in the room, but in reality making yourself look like a donkey.
