For those that don’t know, that’s a very famous Steve Jobs quote. Tim Apple is just repeating it
Not even really a “Steve Jobs” quote, it was by a bunch of people in Apple’s marketing department for the “think different” ad campaign.
Ah, nothing says rebellion like making products so locked down you can only use in specific prescribed ways.
The same Tim Apple that showed up in person to grovel and give gold to the supream leader?
Nothing says ‘think different’ like reusing a thirty year old slogan for when your company was an underdog, instead of the evil corporation you once sought to destroy.
I don’t think they’ve been an underdog since the original Apple I in 1976. Shit, from the 40 year old magazine ads and Computer Chronicles episodes I’ve seen, they’ve always been overpriced in the consumer market.
They always were overpriced, but hardware quality was superior. If you opened a 90’s pc or a Mac, there was a significant difference in finish.
But mid nineties apple nearly went under. The Microsoft deal and Jobs coming back really turned things around.
