  I always was on the hand of Dennet, how believe in the possibility of strong AI and held that a machine that passed the Turing test must be conscious.

  Modern LLM’s have shown that a computer can pass the Turing test, even without understanding or consciousness. In that way it’s fortunate that Dennet didn’t get to live through it’s insurgence. I would be curious to his take, though.

  I loved the vitriol he had in his denial of Searle and the Chinese room argument, though.

  A Friend of my spouse was in hospital and awaiting surgery (a stint or bypass it something) he was very bored and decided to rub one out on the toilet.

  He was still connected to the heart monitor, though, so whilst he was at it the nurse came to the door and ask him if everything was ok. This ruined his immersion and thus could not finish so then he was bored and slightly blue balled

  They do make as pretty good product and dedicate much to r&d and on the community in general. I know premium brands which are more openly extortionate and care little about their customers.

  What I mean to say is that quality is not solely in the product itself (even though they are very serious about quality inn that aspect too).

  I mean value wise there are cheaper plastic toy choices, but there’s nothing close to what Lego does.

  Yeah I’m convinced it can be done, but the stained glass is very abstract and I was wondering what it took to have a LLM generate that.

  But it could be quite banal, indeed, that the art pre existed and was pasted in, like the other commenter saying that he recognized the artwork from before.

  I’m also curious why the entire scene is on a Dutch angle, but that’s probably a bit of hallucination too.

  I mean the dolphin story is gruesome. But for this five to get a severe injury he must be very close to the hole, almost touching it.

  The suction power is not that great in an underwater scenario.

  What made the dolphin so gruesome is that it was an explosive decompression and besides the driver closest to the door no server dismemberment took place, only a very sudden decompression making for a very sudden yet horrid death.

  If the diver in this diagram keeps a couple of centimeters away from the opening he is completely fine but if he manages to cover the outlet hole with some of his anatomy, the shit hits the fan.
