Someone at work sprayed lynx on themselves while on the floor. Several of us had to run to the loo to chuck.
Should be an illegal substance, like it should be classed as a war crime under the Geneva Convention.

We’ve just had an all staff memo out about personal hygiene and the impact of body odour on people aeound you and in your care… we’ll see what improvements we get.
If they don’t address it tomorrow, I’m writing to my hsr
Pray for those of us in IT
I don’t even want to think about the nasal hellscape that is 💀
i dunno, have you whiffed people on trams and trains
I prefer lynx
I’d rather smell natural b.o than the artificial shit in a can called lynx
So I’m trying to learn to cook better, so by the time I leave the nest, I can actually make some nice meals beyond just boiling and putting stuff in the oven. Will be starting very simple with one new recipe a week. First recipe is shakshouka.
The recipe called for tomato paste. My mum is vehemently against tomato paste. My grandma puts it on everything. Debate ensues. I will be following the recipe.
You’re the cook. 👍
Yes chef
Arrived at co-working this morning with all of the stuff on my desk moved, obviously someone had decided to make it their home. I go to connect my laptop to my monitor and the HDMI cable is gone. Whoever was here decided to take a little gift with them as well. Thankfully the staff here had a spare cable I could use. But still, who steals a cable that clearly belongs to someone? Like they yanked it out of the monitor, you don’t just walk away with the cable by mistake!
The concept of co-working spaces (or any shared spaces) is predicated on people being considerate and understanding they’re not the only ones there.
Some people are just morons (or cunts, depending).
depends. Some cats travel very well indeed, some just hate the whole idea.
Cerys hates travel, hates people, hates new places. Punkin hated travel (unless it was in his chariot), but once he was at the destination, he was chill AF and everyone’s friend.
That cat looks very judgmental. It does not approve of your work.
I’d get no work done. I’d be sucking up to pretty kitty!
The cat looks unamused by the shenanigans happening.
I just got home and saw there is a big concrete pump a few houses down that I think is the 3D house printer. I will definitely have to walk down for a sqiz once it’s cool enough this evening.
Can you get a photo for us if it is? Thx.
a printer house eh, what could possibly go wrong
They’re not a bad idea. The concrete is still reinforced (or it should be) and the process is quicker than traditional brick-laying.
Runs out of filament - or if concrete, just fil.
Update:hmm. The 100% lead paint wall may…not be? Tested that and spritzed the pink swab with vinegar as a control test and it cleared.
grr face
Then i dug up a lead fishing weight and jeeebus schneebus, that pink positive swab did not change one iota after i blasted it with vinegar
Did an at home yoga sesh (thanks YouTube) for the first time in far too long. I am humbled but gonna stick with it and look forward to feeling more in tune with my body. It currently feels like I’m operating a mech suit.
Sunset Series starts tonight. Back is spasmodic, neck and shoulder are doing their chronic injury thing… Good times
sending internet PT
There was 3 laps. I was under the impression there was 2 laps…
A rather large huntsman has moved into my lounge room. Probably a good thing, I’ve seen a few people complaining about a lot of white tails around at the moment.
I had a bot of a sleep before. Just tired.
Welcome back yarrabyte.
Tv show recommendation: Pantheon. I noticed it’s now on Netflix. Don’t know how to describe it without giving away the plot twists, but it’s an sci-fi animation set in a timeline where computing power has developed enormous capability, and the consequences of that. It’s a very creative exploration of what defines a human and consciousness. What happens with unchecked unethical tech development. It’s a real mind bender, recommend it if you like the kind of shows that make you think. Bit of a slow start but worth it.
Great show.
Appreciate the recommendation!
Your summary makes me think of ‘Scavengers Reign’ for some reason. Highly recommended for the weird animation category.
I’m feeling a bit flat today after night shift. I think I need an emergency pudding. With custard.
expedition was a success
I got two art technique books and some cool vintage vinyls
I snatched this one up straight away , what a find 👍🎺 I absolutely love it. Man with the Golden Arm played by Shorty Rogers 🙂🙂🙂 www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnyAT8JbyYM&list=PLAyQdUY…
Anyone been to a Toastmasters club? Sometimes when I toast bread, it’s not that perfect golden brown shade. I do want to master the toast / j
Did the standard course a good many years ago. It’s actually useful - very very good practice in public speaking. At that point in history it covered all the relevant stuff including how to do the body language. I would actually recommend it. Especially if public speaking or being the centre of a lot of peoples’ attention is something that you would like to do better, or at least less stressfully.
Thanks for the insight :)
I’ve only known two people who’ve done it and they were both kind of wankers. Probably not a big enough sample and possibly a fault from my end. I’m comfortable with public speaking, can’t say as to how good I am tho.
I know one person who went, also a wanker.
Lots of senior IT people I’ve worked with (directors etc) do that stuff because they actually need to interact with other people eventually lol
Off to the city to check out some book sellers
and then to the local non colesworth supermarket to get some nice bread and ham for lunches 😋
The black cat finally came back so I brought out the wet food Melbcat refused to touch plus some dry food. I was able to give him the spot on with no problems.
A bit worried about Melbcat though. She’s still nibbling her dry food and will have one or two treats but isn’t that interested in wet. She’s off resting in the other room.
cats get patchy, it’s normal, don’t worry
and so many hugs for being a caring cat mom 😽
I hope it’s just from scratching fleas… I’ve never dealt with ringworm but don’t fancy doing so especially with carpet.
He’s had a good quality flea and worm spot on so hopefully it resolves

Hmmm. Apparently the lead test swabs we are using may be false positived by lime and whitewash. (High ph)
…and a quick check is to dip in lemon juice, if it corrects, you are good.
I got one section i know 100% is lead (upper laundry cupboard) for a control , and a garage full of uncertainly lead painted render. Gonna get my science pants on tomorry
goodnight everyone
sweet dreams 😽

Just had my first ever CT scan. The technician was utterly lovely while I had a cry.

Well done on being brave and doing it anyway, even though you cried! Hope you’re ok now and nothing serious shows up on the scan.
