  Just from seeing the clip, it very clearly comes off as more sarcastic than a serious take. A tongue in cheek explanation for why people would go to the island for reasons other than pedophilia.

  This is also coming from another clip where he said it was important to investigate everything in the files and not just release every name immediately since politicians and celebrities would have been there for other reasons. To paraphrase: He was the guy who knew everyone inviting you to his private island with a bunch of other rich people.

    Fundamentally, sure, but the problem here is that he’s an amoral, self-serving, hellbound nonce and whoever pays him told him that’s his line. I have friends and colleagues with different intellectual capacities (and, as proud as I am, I can recognise sometimes I’m a big idiot), but they all seem to have their hearts in the right place, at least enough not to defend pedo murderers. 🤷

  Let’s just hope that these displays of honesty eventually lead to eye-opening experiences for fence-sitting Americans. Also, I told y’all about the dangers of post-modern thought, about the lack of convictions that come from denying objective reality, I told y’all. Now everything can go, cause how can you say these people are evil and their values are all fucked up? It’s just a matter of perspective! 😔
