I’m too proud to let money change me, that’s for hedonists and insecure men of poor character. 😤

It’s just a depressing sight for me, especially all the grannies just wasting their lives there. Someone should introduce them to videogames, lol.

From personal experience after accompanying a friend to the casino twice: this shit is like an expensive and extremely boring way to lose money. I’d rather just burn it, at least it could provide some warmth and spectacle. I’m not one to just claim everything is determined by one’s intelligence but if you enjoy the experience and/or you think you’re making money out of it and your prefrontal cortex is fully formed, ehh…

Oh my bad. Well, “Jesus being born from a virgin woman is one of the least etc etc.” then. 👍
- Comment on If you want to be famous - you have to think outside the box 2 weeks ago:
The immaculate conception is one of the least interesting and relevant parts of what made Jesus “big J, the wandering prophet”. He embodied a revitalisation and vindication of monotheistic righteousness and the idea of objective moral truths. He was so wise he was compared to Solomon, and if you believe the stories that recount how he was challenging the status quo by treating women “normally”, not condemning folks when nobody is perfect (he was very much against all forms of empty virtue signalling), being a “servant leader”, and just waking the Jews of the time from their moral slumber, it’s easy to see why.
Only those who worship Jesus (when he didn’t even like being called “good”!) instead of worshiping God and following Jesus would think the immaculate conception is that big of a deal. Whether he had 1, 2 or 20 parents, what he said and did stand by themselves and are as relevant today as they were yesterday.

Will America ever get past their worship of violence, forcefulness and war or will it only die with the passing of the last American?

I’m in the UK and don’t agree with Western imperialism and their anti-humanist rhetoric so, while I’m comparatively lucky, I don’t think the country has more than two decades before going full MAGA. It is the same stock of people with the same half-baked ideologies, after all. 😭

I’m not American so this particular party line hasn’t infected our mentally and emotionally challenged folks, no, lol.

Idk a single sane human being who’s ever said anything remotely close to “everyone in the past was neurotypical”. Who is OP quoting?!
- Comment on Humans are not meant to be happy; people are supposed to keep working till they finish or get replaced by another sad human being. 4 weeks ago:
Happiness is to a large degree a “skill issue” (a mixture of knowing yourself, knowing you’re a human being after all [even if you hate it], having the right ideology [not necessarily with all doubts erased and all boxes checked, I think that’s Impossible, but “right enough”] and the right attitude), which is very manageable, IME. 🤷

“It’s okay to erase the native population of the land we’ve invaded and it’s also okay to import others as chattel so they work the land for us… but if you suck ONE dick, you’re the devil!”
The American moral compass was always broken, and most Americans don’t even notice it. 🤷

Of course they know, why do you think they created them?! They just don’t care, as there is money to be siphoned, lol.
- Comment on political debate 5 weeks ago:
Whoever talks seriously about “racial politics” and not at least “cultural politics” is already lost, has never interacted with people deeply outside of their same tribe (because then he’d see how any important differences are not racial and genetic but learned, ideological and sociocultural) and probably gets all his “information” regarding the narratives and metanarratives from propaganda feeds. 🤷

I’m one of God’s weak soldiers and I relate, lol. This is why it’s important to be empathetic and have a softer approach to people as much as we can afford it!
- Comment on The facists are right! 5 weeks ago:
Bad times create strong men, when they’re wise and rightly guided, else they just traumatize people. Strong men create good times, if you define strong as virtuous and not just “physically imposing” or even just emotionally resilient. Good times create weak men, when “good” is defined as “hedonistic, consumeristic and with no ethical expectations”. And weak (morally wormy, stupid, etc) men do create bad times. 🤷

Sure, and getting some comfortable sleep at night knowing you were a net positive to your community at the very least with words (which are cheaper than actions too!) should be the main thing you get out of it. 😅

I don’t understand what this is supposed to mean. I do know Mr. Kirk won’t be seen kindly by God, though. His misused his free will to become an agent of chaos and a proud troublemaker, after all. 🤷

I feel like there’s a middle ground between being completely unpleasant/making no effort not to be unpleasant (which comes naturally to most properly socialized and not antisocial folks, tbh) and being a doormat, right?
