Coincidentally, this is also what house speaker Mike Johnson says when asked about literally anything.

Truly, something we should all aspire to

Creatively, yes - but physically, no.

It was the peanuts guy that died long ago
FartMaster69@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 day ago
No? He’s still alive.

I don’t think so, Tim.

That was the “Dallas” patriarch.
ArmchairAce1944@discuss.online 1 day ago
Nope. Last I checked around yesterday he’s still around. He is 80. Old but not impossibly old.

Wisdom in it’s purest form.

Maybe he should.
Odie should slap a bitch for taking back.

Where is this m’fer’s left hand? Why is it not on a keyboard on his preferred combo for undo? Does this madlad not undo? Does he not NEED undo? Is it possible to learn this power?
ragebutt@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 day ago
As if he hasn’t been drawing the same basic picture 500 times a day for 50+ years. He can probably draw and color a perfect Garfield strip blindfolded with a broken arm.
It’s like one of those Chinese artisan teapot makers that’s 70 years old. When you watch a video of them making a teapot it looks so simple and elegant but you know that ability to make such deliberate and precise action comes from basically making 100 teapots a day for 50+ years. Then you see that laminar flow and the intricate detailing and you’re like oh my god I want that and you search it up and find out a proper one from someone like that is like $400 so you stick with your electric kettle that was $17.99.
He’s like the shitty banal grandma comedy version of that
Lumidaub@feddit.org 1 day ago
Well, you do indeed have a point there.

I hope he doesn’t become overqualified for the job… Oh look! Lasagna!

Don’t modern drawing tablets usualy have side buttons that ppl set frequently used functions? The gray bar at the sides can be such but idk
Lumidaub@feddit.org 1 day ago
They do look like side buttons but then it’s still unusual that be wouldn’t have his hand on them. I think most digital artists appreciate the ability to quickly draw and erase lines multiple times to get them just right and to do that he’d have reach up there every time. Unless he
a) is a genius who does not undo
2) has developed blind muscle memory for Garfield as suggested by another commenter or
• is simply posing for the camera. Anyone’s guess.
Also, I personally ignore the side buttons because they’re annoying to reach.
JcbAzPx@lemmy.world 1 day ago
He started drawing prior to computers being involved at all. There’s no undo button when you’re inking to paper. If you want to learn, buy a bunch of ink and paper and start drawing.
Lumidaub@feddit.org 1 day ago
Okay? So did I. He still works digitally now, as do I. It is simply unusual for someone who does digital art to not use the undo button.
HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 1 day ago
voice activated undo whenever he says “AAAAAAAA”
Tigeroovy@lemmy.ca 1 day ago
Probably has undo on one of the tablet buttons which are just a bit above his left hand.
ObviouslyNotBanana@piefed.world 1 day ago
I think I see a mouse there on his left. Maybe he just hates keyboards?
Lumidaub@feddit.org 1 day ago
It would be easier to use the stylus to click undo instead of reaching for the mouse every time.
