RN here: call your doctor. Don’t look for advice online, mine or anyone else’s, period.

Another Healthcare Professional here: I second this healthcare professionals advice.
Don’t get strangers opinions through the internet who’s credentials you can’t verify. See a healthcare professional.
slazer2au@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
You should call your doctor about that.
watson387@sopuli.xyz 2 weeks ago
Thanks. I’ve been thinking about it, but I wanted make sure I’m not overreacting to something that’s normal.
TragicNotCute@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
No. This isn’t normal. Go to a doctor or urgent care today.
I’m not a doctor and this isn’t medical advice, but it looks like Cellulitis to me which can be very dangerous.
Theoriginalthon@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
I was in hospital for a week with that once upon a time, would not recommend 1/10
Cevilia@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 weeks ago
OP, ideally you’ve already called your doctor or gone to the emergency room. If you haven’t, please do so now. Thank you.
TehBamski@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
They are definitely not supposed to look like that. Call your doctor/primary care right away. It looks like an allergic reaction of some sort. Call your primary care.
black_flag@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 weeks ago
That could be an allergic reaction which can be life threatening. I would genuinely consider going to the ED if I were you.
Adderbox76@lemmy.ca 2 weeks ago
That can happen when they leave the microchip a little too close to the surface and it causes skin irritation.
Theoriginalthon@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
Not a doctor here, if it’s warm to touch it’s an infection, draw a line around it in pen with a time and day, then In a couple of hours do it again. If it gets bigger, starts leaking puss or fluid got see a like now.
Source: had a couple of skin infections before

Oh boy, I don’t know how to break it to you.
This is not good bro.
I’ll tell you what this is.
It’s a classic case of asking strangers on the internet some medical advice. You clearly have the aggressive form of stupid bro.
There’s just one cure.
A hard smack to your favourite side of the head and then, without fail, a visit to the local doctor, as a follow up.
Repeat as required.Randomgal@lemmy.ca 2 weeks ago
This is the real diagnosis. If you want fake diagnosis and hallucinations just ask Chatgpt, at least then you can imagine you sue a company.

My first Covid vaccines did this, but I have contact dermatitis and have skin reactions to almost anything, including winter sweaters.
I’m not a doctor and not giving medical advice, but for me this is not necessarily uncommon. That doesn’t mean the same for you, obviously.
Bluefalcon@discuss.tchncs.de 2 weeks ago
It looks like the saturation levels have been tweaked and maybe some lite picking around the injection site?
Bristlecone@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
First off placement is HORRENDOUS. That isn’t the deltoid yo. Second: as others have said GET HELP
BlackLaZoR@fedia.io 2 weeks ago
Go see a doctor - this is most likely an allergic reaction, but just in case consult a specialist
loomi@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
I had a red splotchy arm after a pneumonia vaccine. The redness was growing and the area was hot to the touch. Saw a doctor. Got meds. Think the official dx was cellulitis.
Could be the same problem. Could be something different. See a doctor.
celeste@kbin.earth 2 weeks ago
My roommate had this happen. He got it again, but less bad, when he got a booster. I think it initially took a couple weeks to go away, but I might not remember correctly. I think some people are inclined to have this happen.
TranquilTurbulence@lemmy.zip 2 weeks ago
Never happened to me before. I would go back to the clinic to show that to a nurse.
Toes@ani.social 2 weeks ago
Looks infected to my eyes. But I’m not a medical professional.
dkppunk@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
I am not a doctor and if it does get worse you should talk to one.
That said, I usually get a rash a day or two after a Covid vaccination. It’s happened almost every time I get one. I’ve had welts on my forehead and up and down my legs. I have asked my doctor about it because I was very concerned at first. He said as long as it doesn’t happen within 4 hours and I do not have any breathing issues, it’s not a problem. I do have very sensitive skin and break out into hives with a lot of things like fragrances and certain fabrics.
jaggedrobotpubes@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
Even just an immediately-bandaged pinprick bleeding three days later itself isn’t normal, let alone the rest of it.
Hope you feel better!

As everyone said call a Dr/walk-in I just got my combo a week and a half ago and it never did this.
technopagan@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
Please do not seek mental, medical and professional help here
watson387@sopuli.xyz 2 weeks ago
I get it. I wasn’t looking for advice so much as I was hoping to gauge other people’s experiences to determine if I was overreacting or not. Please remove if it breaks Rule 3.
RickyRigatoni@retrolemmy.com 2 weeks ago
I used to be like that too. The thing is, if you’re worried you may be overreacting, you’re probably not the kind of person to overreact. Doesn’t hurt or cost much to just pop into one of those walk-in doctoramas just to see what they say.
