    Moisturize with lotion, especially if you wash them very frequently or have other underlying skin conditions such as pet allergies.

    Am I not the only one? Most people I’ve heard of eat their nails. I’m the only one I’ve ever known who chews on his cuticles.

    If your cuticles do this on their own, or you notice pitting on or under your nails, it might be an early sign of psoriasis.

    I have cracks on the corners of my fingers, beside the nail. They run deep and I have to put Polysporin with lidocaine on them to reduce the sting. It’s a combination of biting my nails and working a job that requires constant antibacterial hand-washing. I hate it.
