Cipro is brutal. Last time I took it 2 days in I felt like my tendons were disintegrating. I couldn’t even pour myself a cup of coffee without crying.
I was able to take it a couple times before without too much issue, but Jesus it doesn’t play around.

They’re not building PCs but they are buying/using laptops, and, to a lesser extent, prebuilts. I’ve also built a few gaming PCs on request from otherwise “casual” consumers though that’s a smaller portion of the market.
- Comment on PlayStation boss says single-player games won’t come to PC going forward | VGC 1 week ago:
Once upon a time, video game consoles offered the convenience of plug-and-play gaming, and living room comfort.
Not everyone wanted to build a PC and play with keyboard and mouse, and even still playing those PC games can be a hassle to set up on a TV if you’re common-denominator-levels of tech unsavvy. (Read: not the average Lemmy user)
Valve has brought that forward some with Steam Deck and eventually steam machine but by and large most PC gamers are Windows users.
That said, console platforms have gotten so increasingly hostile towards customers between pricing, licensing, download times and walled-garden tactics that they’ve painted themselves out of an increasing chunk of the games market.
People would rather set up a computer and a controller than buy a console, and it’s the corpo’s own fault.

Because kids love gross-out humor? Lmao
Nearly every 4-10 y.o. I’ve known in my lifetime had “fart,” “poop,” “butt,” and “booger” as their top most said words of the day. The remainder was yammering about their favorite TV shows and books/toys. And bugs. And rocks.

Hey let me have my jokes so I don’t freak out thinking about my serious social/spatial impairments and sensory oversensitivities. Or how the smallest break in my flow/routine throws off my whole week and I’m a dysregulated mess.
I’m allowed some fun.

- Comment on What was the first game you ever bought ? 1 month ago:
Same! Except it was a CD in a paper envelope, as a birthday gift to my brother. We already played it a ton but lost the original CD, and this was before steam was a big thing.
Re-bought it on GOG and Steam a few times for myself and as gifts, too.

The title reads like OOP is also a bot/sockpuppet. It doesn’t quite read like proper low-literacy American English, but someone who diligently studied insta posts from that demographic.

There were a lot of weird photos that looked like they were taken from a webcam/stream, in private settings, with extremely specific work address/personal info to tie her in person. There was also no continued communication like there usually is from scammers. Plus the bots spammed from countless instances with the same messages and different pics, like it was dedicated to making sure people would know her irl identity. Not 100% positive, but for a lot of people it felt “off” from the usual scam and spam campaigns. There was a dedicated community of folks who were concerned about this, as well.
Other spammers eventually rode the coattails and tried crypto-scheming with similar strategies but those were more “traditionally” scammy.
