This is why “it costs nothing to be kind” always rubbed me the wrong way.
Like, yes it does cost, at least to some degree, energy/money/time to put on some form of extroversion or extra effort when things are being asked of you. That’s not to say it’s never worth it, but for those of us with more limited capacity (although everyone has a set capacity) there’s only so much available to extend before burnout.
Whenever I can afford it, I take time to be kind. I can’t always stop and give money or extend myself mentally to strangers or acquaintances, though. I don’t expect them to, either. Problematic contacts who ask a lot of emotional resources without offering in return, as well.
I think the term is “compassion fatigue.” /rant

Mine were somewhere between 1 and 5. They had like orangey flowers but blue decoration lines I think?

Yeah, a lot of this is simply human variation.
I’ve been in relationships where I’ve both been the asker and the askee, just depends on the dynamic ¯\(ツ)/¯

Is this Body Worlds?
That exhibit traumatized the hell out of me and I was an obnoxious edgy little asshole tween, so it was an achievement on their part.

That’s wild, I’m sorry you gotta deal with that.
Survival skills + demonstrated empathy/care with other living beings are positives for any person. Hopefully you find someone who appreciates that. /gen

Plant growing is gendered now?
All the cishet men I’ve known who have had gardens grew all kinds of stuff, from fruits and vegetables to culinary herbs and flowers.
Maybe I’m in a bubble but damn I feel sorry for the dudes in the OP.

If the bug guy from MiB had a baby with Duke Nukem, killed him, had Madame Toussad make a wax replica of the corpse, and burned down the museum the result would still look like a better representation of a person than Peter Thiel.
Evil takes of a hell of a toll on these sumbitches.

It’s less “girls vs girls” and more “morbid curiosity” if I’m reading it correctly. It’s not something to be proud of, to clarify.
The meme also doesn’t mention the gender of the subject or their (ex)partner(s). Could, hypothetically, be anybody.

I think the issue is not having a desktop-type computer at all and having a tablet/phone that’s so locked down the kid isn’t given the opportunity to explore or troubleshoot.
Tinkering is how you learn to solve problems, which requires having something tinker-able without having to go down a hacky rabbithole.

And… all the Nintendo Adults have made it clear over the decades that “Corporations aren’t your friends. Except for the one with Mario. #StandUpForNintendo”
I must be in a hell of a bubble but the stereotypes I’m familiar with are as follows:
-
“Nobody hates Nintendo more than Nintendo fans” and
-
“Nobody hates Nintendo fans more than Nintendo.”
They make it impossible to enjoy damn near any of their older games without piracy. Their hardware is objectively worse performing than other consoles of the time. And they price gouge like a mfer.
I still play my Switch and my old 3DS but I’m doing my damnedest not to give them another cent directly if I can help it.

Masking your struggles (in the context of anyone, not just ND people) only works for so long, and burnout is inevitable.
I hope those folks were able to find the solace and support they needed.
