I usually drink 6-8 beers at a house party, but I never drink spirits. There is a bottle of vodka and whiskey on the counter, so if he is an abstinent, beers are for one friend, spirits for the other.
- Comment on No one showed up to his party 1 week ago:
Yeah and only 7 beers? Was he waiting for one or two person only?

The “live action” version was released some years ago, and I remember it, yeah it’s a special kind of authism.

I never expected I have to explain Lion King, but here we are Lemmy…
Hakuna Matata is a song in the Disney’s implementation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, The Lion King. In the cartoon Timon and Pumba sings the song, they are Rosenkrantz and Guildenstern in Shakespeare’s original play. In the cartoon they are a meerkat and a warthog. So from the title it sounds like this animal should be one of those singing Hakuna Matata, and it’s clearly not a meerkat. So in my intetpretation, the author thought this is a warthog, and associated the image with the song of the warthog from the cartoon.

I remember this was posted before, because I still feel the anger about the stupidity of this meme. Pumbaa is a warthog, and on the image it’s a clearly a wild boar.
I’m not a boar specialist, but I guess it’s a male Central European boar (Sus ඞ scrofa scrofa).
Get your facts straight! Stop spreading misinformation!

I mean the 2 original developers’ github profile picture is che guevara… Also if you read this thread, I use the term “tankie” as someone who simply does not agree with me in whatever topic, that’s my cope, that’s where this whole conversation started, that was the joke in the skinner meme
Tankies make every conversation political…
- Comment on [Meta] Some of y'all are way too sensitive for this community 2 weeks ago:
That’s exactly what a tanky in disguise would say.

You mean when it was only known to tankies.

You are on an ml instance, so you are definitely a tankie. Lemmy.ml is a gateway to lemmygrad, the same way as marihuana is a gateway to heroin.

My cope is usually “it should be the tankies who downvoted”. Works every time, now I know I’m 100% right, and I can sleep well.

for other poor non-americans like me, who heard the term aafes first time in their shitty non-freedomy life:

I have 4, but I don’t remember buying them. They just appeared out of nowhere one day. 2 big and 2 small, I remember I broke at least one small accidentally, but somehow it reappeared.
I store my keys, cables and random coins in the big ones, I only use the small ones for food. The big ones are too small for full bag of popcorn, and with this shape popcorn easily overflows. The small ones are good for peanuts and similar smaller stuff.

Which one is better, I’m confused
- Two buttholes on top of each other, like on the comic, vertically
- Two buttholes next to each other, horizontally. There is a small buttface between them, or wathever the english term.

This is nothing new than, charlie the unicorn was basically the same kind of joke 16 years ago. It’s on the border of “funny because random”, but the over explanation makes it a bit antimeme. Quality shitpost, I say.
