People choose easy over ‘better’ as a rule.
…and, it’s just easier to hate and be angry than to work through the prejudices, and inner demons you may carry with you.
Inner work is much, MUCH harder to do. I have done some serious physical labour in my life, so I know what I’m comparing here (including the day in/day out of that life).
Yeah, they had the choice between making an effort to be a better person, or simply deluding themselves that they are already better, all their negative traits are in-fact positive traits, everyone else is the problem for suggesting they aren’t already perfect.
I don’t understand how someone can go their whole life, never taking a look inside.
Yeah I have a friend that does this too. They try to do it to me and I’m just like … I don’t care working is fucking annoying and jobs suck. I just do it to fuck with them but it always blows their damn mind lol.
I can’t find it, but there was a great meme of a tombstone that said, “worked really really hard”. I’d also add that I acknowledge"blue collar" work being tough and important too. That’s it.

Having a work ethic is one thing. But it isn’t inherently satisfying to the ego unless you feel yours is better than others’, and lord it over them. Some people just can’t maintain their motivation without this.
This guy could learn a lot from women. The world is full of women who bust their ASS and never complain or brag or get a single second of recognition.

I dont think it is specific to conservatives. People who define their identity through their political views tend to be like this, regardless of their political views.
I have experienced similiar behaviour with people who identified as leftists, anarchists, feminists as much as with people who identify as conservatives, liberals…
The annoying thing is, that you cannot respectfully disagree with them on anything anymore, because they perceive it as an attack on themselves directly.
People who deliberately ignore struggles that others outside their immediate community experience, especially ones that they cause themselves, don’t deserve to be listened to

I have a god complex personally. I do not read this from OP. I read it as them being confused about fairly basic things that someone with basic knowledge would understand or should understand. Which conservatives tend to deny. I fight against my god complex selectively. I think conservatives are inferior and most of them are npcs and i enjoy scamming them. Because they are easy targets for scamming or exploitation. I do in fact think im better and smarter than them. However my god complex i guess is somewhat left leaning. I dont have many opinions about the left for example. Basically i think i sound more like what youre talking about than op is.

People are weird honestly. I’ve met crazy people on other sides of Tue political spectrum. Your friend doesn’t seem all that bad from a extreme right perspective.
I could care less about most of the political rhetoric some of these people get involved with. On the right it is about the lazy immigrants and on the left it is how cars are going cause the total destruction of planet Earth.
You understand you’re equating two vastly different things, right? One idea is rooted in scientific research and the other is rooted in racism and bigotry. If those two things seem equal to you then you’re not paying as much attention as you think you are.
A lot of climate rhetoric is focused on inducing panic. In practice it is a complex problem that rushed policies can’t fix.
