Is a Beef Wellington expensive or classy? It just looks like a bigger corndog to me. I’ve never had a wellington before so I have no idea what to expect.

Have you had tenderloin beef? Have you had pastry? You know what it tastes like and no, you’re not missing anything unless you think boring unseasoned bland meat is good.
TrousersMcPants@lemmy.world 2 months ago
Why does the meat have to be unseasoned?? You know you can season it right?
ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 2 months ago
Let’s make unseasoned Bri’ish food seasoned again!

There is a difference though … one gives you cancer faster than the other.

Oh I thought it was just bland ass English food.

Ok so Beef Wellington is made with an actual BEEF muscle and hotdogs are made with PORK and pork fat pureed and jammed inside a casing. Beef Wellington is topped in mushrooms and mustard then wrapped in a wheat-flour pastry, while Corn Dogs are just battered in a sugary Corn Slurry.
This is such a stretch lol

Hot dogs are made of whatever kind of processed meat you want. There are beef hot dogs, pork hot dogs, beef and pork, turkey, etc.

Oh so corndogs do have hotdogs in them. Good to know. I thought it was some weird bread thing.

It is a hot dog that is dipped in corn batter and deep fried, often served on a stick as snack bar or fair food.
See also a sausage dog which replaces the hot dog with breakfast sausage, and often replaces the corn batter for pancake-like batter.

0% chance you’re from the U.S.
(Not a bad thing. Lol.)

And calzones are just pizza that’s harder to eat.

I’ve never agreed with this sentiment. A calzone is much easier to eat and handle.
