I couldn’t find a more appropriate place to post this. It’s a biergarten in Reykjavik. Cool place, would recommend.

Well you see, the Vikings discovered Iceland and Greenland and named them accordingly.
My dream is that if the nordic league ever develops a space program and creates a colony on mars, they should name it Blueland just to keep up with the bit.
On the glaciers. For now.

They do love their metal in Iceland, must be named after Motorhead Lemmy
While you’re there, visit the Big Lebowski bar.
I bet they serve drinks that are ALMOST like the drinks you remember back home, but not quite…
Also…everyone is doing some linux fuckery on a laptop, so they have no idea how to order milk without wearing a cape.
I’ll have the Appelsín. It’s like Tango used to be before they took most of the sugar out of it and replaced it with sweeteners.
Make sure you get a hotdog from one of the food trucks downtown and try going to grocery stores if you want to save money

Great so far! There are a ton of fellow tourists and it’s a bit pricey, but it’s beautiful and the people are very nice. Plus where else can you eat a puffin?

Alarming statistics around the fate of the Icelandic puffin population have led one expert to call for a ban on their sale.

Why the fuck would you eat a puffin?? 😭 I was about to ask how the food is but that kinda answered it

Bit pricey is quite the understatement.

Look on the map for Bónus supermarkets, I found them to be the best value but with a good range of stuff to try. I thought the rye bread (Rúgbrauð) and skyr were particularly delicious in Iceland.

The burgers are always great all over Iceland, although they certainly know how to charge for them…
I always make a trip to Hlöllabátar in the little concrete square down the end of the main street.

I highly recommend the lobster soup from Seabaron if you’re into that
