Not in Europe, so I can’t help you there.
But I’d like to add, it’s not JUST about disabling games.
Bungie released Destiny 2 in 2017, in 2020 they started “vaulting” content, locking it away from people who had paid for it.
This included ALL of the story missions, essentially rendering the game plot-less.
Half of the original planet locations in the base $60 game, and the entirety of the first two paid expansions.
It’s literally impossible to play the game as launched even though, technically, it was never disabled and is still online.
The content has never been restored and cannot be accessed, even for a court case, Bungie had to rely on YouTube recordings of the removed content:

Wait, 12 Monkeys is a tv show now?
I knew the OG short film La Jetée (28 minutes). Then of course the Bruce Willis movie.
Kind of blows my mind that they expanded it to 4 seasons of television…

I find it the other way around. I can’t play Vampire Survivors because of Robotron/Smash TV/Geometry Wars.

Plus $95 for a “physical edition” with no disc. :(
I was willing to buy the game… for $60. But not a digital code. I get that they want to push people to Gamepass, but $60 is 3 months and at the end I actually own nothing?

The writing was kind of on the wall for Avowed when they announced they were dumping it after the holidays.
I was like “Oh, like Forspoken? Good luck!”

See my “set 2” links above. (at the time) $3,200 8K television, “If you want the brightest image possible, use the default Dynamic Mode settings with Local Dimming set to ‘High’, as we were able to get 1666 nits in the 10% peak window test.”
HDR still trash.

Yup, yup. Highly rated when I bought them, but in actual usage? Not so much.

I WISH it was the default settings. I went through every calibration and firmware update I could find. Even the model specific calibrations on rtings.com. Nothing made a difference.
It appears to just be a flaw in Samsung’s implementation. After going through all the Samsung forum information, the only suggestion that’s guaranteed to work is “turn it off”.

I’ve been told HDR is not for bright rooms, you have to make everything dark…
Yeah…

Getting a million people to Washington D.C. is a tall order when places like CA, OR, WA are 3,000 miles away, plus people have to, you know, work and stuff.

The half that didn’t vote are OK with other people deciding for them.
- Comment on Why aren't there mass protests in the USA? 5 days ago:
In the US, protests are largely performative. People want to make a show of it do they can say “Look, I did something!” even if they’re doing nothing. They’ll break their own arms patting themselves on the back.
I live in Portland which is protest central. We had 100 days of Black Lives Matter protests which meant and did nothing as the city largely agreed with the sentiment.
You want a protest that matters? You take it where the action is happening. In the case of Trump, you can set EVERY Tesla dealer on fire, it means nothing.
Take that shit to D.C. and shut that city down for 100 days? Assuming the Feds don’t kill everyone, that’s a protest that would matter.

Maybe you just aren’t where it’s happening?
apnews.com/…/50501-protests-project-2025-trump-st…
“Protesters in Philadelphia and at state capitols in California, Minnesota, Michigan, Texas, Wisconsin, Indiana and beyond waved signs denouncing President Donald Trump; billionaire Elon Musk, the leader of Trump’s new Department of Government Efficiency; and Project 2025, a hard-right playbook for American government and society.”

Yup, unfortunately with Samsung, the only thing that works reliably is disabling HDR.

My number 1 requirement is being able to disable HDR, my sets don’t implement it correctly and HDR content is unwatchable because of it.
The only fix is to disable it on the device as the sets don’t have that option.

- Comment on Third Man 4K not wanting to play? 3 weeks ago:
No errors, just the beautiful menu screen with no menu.
After playing the Blu Ray, I went back to the 4K, got the menu, went into special features, which worked.
Then I kicked back to the menu and had no overlay, just the animation.
Ejected the disc, re-inserted, got the menu that time and was able to start the 4K version.

My life changed when I learned you can press a button to speed up voicemail playback.
Another button slows it down so they sound drunk(er).
