I got a Canada goose jacket for free and it’s really fucking warm. Definitely the nicest jacket I’ve ever owned. Prob not worth the 1500 bucks or however much they’re charging for it though.

I bought a Roots coat 12 years ago. It was originally 300 but got it for half price. Warmest coat I’ve ever owned, and it is still my winter coat to this day. It might need an insulation replacement this year, but that costs like $20. Every other bit of that coat is still in great condition

Down performs better than most alternatives, is biodegradable and last decades when properly cared for.
The alternatives that out perform down, usually only in some situations, aren’t biodegradable and are made from oil.

And now this, which just cuts off both watermarks.
There’s also a parallel Ukrainian translation that became very popular among Russians. There’s a certain vibe to it, something about a foreign, yet, very similar and understandable language. Translated back to English it would’ve sounded something like “Oi! Watchu stuffed ur jacket wiz, mate? - WAT DAT JACKET IZ STUFFED WIZ, HÖNK?”. Someone should make it, so that this meme would come full circle twice.

the down in this jacket is sustainably and ethically sourced: the geese are shaken vigorously to dislodge loose feathers on a daily basis.
The goose of course hate this, but being canada geese they deserve the punishment and when they’re released as adults they’re too dizzy to ever pose a threat to anyone.
