“My mom used to be a Holocaust denier until I took her to the Holocaust museum at Auswitz. Now she can’t believe it’s only happened once.” - Anthony Jeselnik

…
Anthony should probably take his mom to some other Holocaust museums. Pretty sure the one in DC has displays for other genocides. I can appreciate the irony that a Hitler quote about how people forgot about the Armenian Genocide is one of the reasons it stays in the public consciousness.

Hey that’s the guy that successfully killed that failure Hitler.

HThat would be true if he hadn’t lived out the rest of his natural life in Argentina.

“You know, with Hitler, the more I learn about this guy, the more I don’t care about him.”

Didn’t he make a couple movies
ivanafterall@kbin.social 7 months ago
Several of the greatest movies ever made 100% wouldn't exist without his work. Schindler's List, The Pianist, Saving Private Ryan, and The Thin Red Line are just a few of the films he made possible. Say what you will about his various indiscretions, but the man loved the arts.

Not to be rude but that means either you are a grade schooler or home schooled or just never went to school at all no? I feel like you cant spend more than 2 days on the internet without stumbling upon some part of the history of WW2.

wow people rlly forgot they were on a shitposting community ans took you seriously.
Honestly that makes it funnier
FQQD@lemmy.ohaa.xyz 7 months ago
You know what, I guess everyone learns about this at some point. In Germany we get, understandably, very well educated on the bad stuff, so no one makes these mistakes again. But I suppose in other places, people never even hear about WW2 their whole life

What happened to today? Are you a student?
douz0a0bouz@midwest.social 7 months ago
Sorry to pile on but now compare the far right US Republican rhetoric to Hitler’s talking points.
