  Despite the fact that Lemmy / Reddit whinge about her constantly I guarantee most of the public doesn’t know she has these views at all.

  That movie will show up on prime or where ever as another mediocre entry and old people will watch it and continue on with their day.

    I’m on lemmy and have no idea who you’re talking about or what views.

    So yeah most people are still going to watch it and not even be aware of the controversy.

    Before anyone starts to accuse me of supporting something, no I’m not going to watch that movie as it seems to be just another superhero movie and those ended with infinity war for me.

      He refused to call it a genocide until 2025, I wouldn't call that consistent. Dragging his heels, dodging questions about it, calling it a "legal term" until then.

      And when he finally called it a genocide, doing so started by condemning Hamas, calling it "Netanyahu's war" as if it's not widely supported (polls have shown that it is).

      Hamas, a terrorist organization, began this war with its brutal attack on October 7, 2023, which killed 1,200 innocent people and took 250 hostages. Israel, as any other country, had a right to defend itself from Hamas.

      he literally opened this piece by whining about how hamas “started it” (no they didn’t) and portraying them as this evil organisation that just murders innocent people for the sake of it (no they don’t).

      I don’t care that after almost 2 years of brutal slaughter, some of the most heinous crimes in west asia to date he finally started to call it genocide so as to not lose the last bit of leftist cred he somehow still has. Especially if he doesn’t oppose weapon shipments to pissrahell and simps for a two-state solution, which definitionally is still zionist.
