Yeah they’re not going to use the word genocide without a pretty strict set of criteria being met by an international court. They don’t use that word on non-western countries either.
But it is nice to see they repeatedly condemn Israel’s actions on that page, which you didn’t quote.

“Western MSM” includes CBC, AFP, NPO… that’s such a huge brush to paint with.

Socialism, traditionally defined, involves some form of collective or public ownership of the means of production. Universal healthcare, labor protections, welfare programs, and unions do not inherently require that.
Universal healthcare and other social programs are, in a democracy, an example of the public owning the means of producing healthcare or other industries.

I do find it weird that we are taught here in Canada, and I assume most other western countries, that Hitler was the worst human being in history. And then I hear Mao had a higher score?

So can non-Chinese reporters and journalists come in and check and make sure that reality is true?

China’s quality of life for its people has been rising by leaps and bounds in the past fifty years.
You have a long way to leap when you start out so far behind.
Don’t forget the main reason western countries moved all their manufacturing there is because of their lack of labour rights.

And thirdly, the western countries’ refusal to speak out against Israel’s genocide in Gaza, Jordan and Lebanon has turned most of lemmy against their governments.
You’re lumping in a whole lot of countries with America and England there.
Almost like that’s the whole point of the anti “West” thing.
- Comment on Has anyone else noticed the strong pro CCP and anti-west vibes here? 1 week ago:
The internet has been largely anti-west since as long as I can remember, but the pro-CCP thing is newer.
Part of it is because they’re one of the only “flag carriers” of socialism, so to speak, and that blinds some really desperate socialists who can’t see they are about as far from socialism as America.

Neither did I, but they all started offering, so I started using those tools. Especially the all-in-one systems where it’s like “just buy the hardware, go to this website, and it’ll flash for you”. Like that’s more secure than “go to this website and download and run this weird exe” isn’t it?

None of the browser based COM port uploader tools work on Firefox yet. Like the WLED installer or the ESP32 flash tools.

When I was in high school I had lots of really good sex with this one girl, sometimes on drugs. And then nothing since then, cause I’m pretty sure I’m good for life.

Yeah I’m not buying the “proactively destroying the planet” angle. I’d imagine there’s a lot of misinformation around AI, given that the products surrounding it are mostly Western, like vaccines…

It’s like having an idiot employee that works for free. Depending on how you manage them, that employee can either do work to benefit you or just get in your way.

I create custom embedded devices with displays and I’ve found it very useful for laying things out. Like asking it to take secondly wind speed and direction updates and build a Wind Rose out of it, with colored sections in each petal denoting the speed… it makes mistakes but then you just go back and reiterate on those mistakes. I’m able to do so much more, so much faster.

Vendor/supplier-only relationships are pretty common in the industry, unfortunately.
But it’s SPI, so get a USB logic analyzer and with some LLM help you might be able to reverse engineer the thing. Maybe borrowing info with other Pixart chips?

It’s definitely the only country with an MK Ultra, Operation Northwoods, Operation Paperclip (wait why am I supposed to have a problem with Operation Paperclip), etc etc problem.
Because their government isn’t very democratic, they rank pretty much last in the list of countries that actually call themselves “democracies” on the democracy index.
Which is why countries with more functioning democracies have less corruption.

I’ve been switching a lot of my devices to ESP-NOW instead of WiFi so that they can just fart out their data to anyone who can hear it and then go back to sleep, no connecting or handshaking or authenticating or overhead. Should clear up my wifi network I think.
