  Related rant:
  The whole “there are starving children in Africa” just felt like ignoring local problems.

  Most nearby schools have kids that can’t afford lunch, a good chunk are even homeless too. There are starving children in your 2 mile area, mom.

  But mentioning them also raises the question of “why not campaign and volunteer to solve that issue.” So people rather mention the problems an ocean away.

  Also for the record, average upper-class american family could help both groups at the same time by working as extra hard as most people.

  Do NOT be kind to your landlord.

  My landlord lost their house gambling so I offered them to rent one of my rooms at discount as a roommate.

  Now whenever my rent increases due to cost of living, I increase their rent due to cost of living.

  We are in a sick perpetual cycle and both our rents went up 5000% yesterday. We are comrades in this pain and promised to protect each other if liver selling operation goes wrong.

  It’s a hateful bond, an adversarial friendship, and an expensive survival. Somebody please help!

  Funny enough, there are villages in eastern Anatolia that are not on the government maps.

  They do trade with other towns and have gas, cars etc but population is mainly native to the land like Kurdish.

  So there are actual non-zero chances that there is some hidden ancient Hittite village last recorded by Alexander the Great’s empire, and Persians or Romans who conquered a fort nearby later didn’t survey that particular location, so it kinda has been sitting there enjoying not paying any taxes; and an actual bloody hittite could leave their town today to go work at tumblr hq.

  At least in my historic fanfic that I just came up with.

  Important to note that English is a world-language. So tourists from Italy, Syria, Mozambique etc also mostly speak English while visiting foreign places. This is NOT an “American tourists litter” thing.

  Hollow knight.

  I had a bunch of soulslike phases but hollow knight I couldn’t get into because “there is not even dodging mechanic”

  Then the mantis lords fight made the game kinda “click” and I did find “dash” ability too so it was fun.

  Then it kept becoming more fun through the story. Pretty much only soulslike I got into the lore of.
