- Comment on On a lighter note: Why do people still buy fast food? 2 weeks ago:
I know it sound crazy, but maybe some days use the time you spend on traveling to and from the fast food place and cook home instead multiple portions of food you enjoy for a fraction of cost.

People at work wants me to do something and using phrasing, like “can we check this?” , “we must do xy quickly”. What do you mean WE? If you want me to do something personally just fucking say it MF! It makes my blood boil.

We knew it 10 years ago, we know it now, how is this news to anyone consuming online digital content?

Can agree, steak fries and steamed veggies are usually great at steakhouses.

To be fair the place had a great buffet with a large selection of sides and great cocktails, I ended up eating mac and cheese, curly fries and some salad. Even tried some grilled seasned pineapple so it was at least memorable.
This place was called Nabrasa.

When I left my old workplace my colleagues organized a good-bye meal together. Standard office job, with regular guys. We had a great relationship and they knew I was vegetarian for 5+ years at that point and never had any issue with it.
So they asked which restaurant I would like to go and I was stupid enough to let them choose.
We ended up in a specialized Brazilian meat restaurant, where the servers go around with absurdly large pieces of grilled/fryed meats and would carve a piece to the guests. If you are a meat lover you can have easily 10-15 types of meats in a couple of hours.
Those assholes had a huge grin on their faces all evening, as I could only eat the sides from the buffet and had to refuse all meals from the servers about 12 time that evening. It was a truly memorable night, we even got drunk and laughed our asses off on our way home.
So yeah, not just kids can be assholes. We are still in contact till this day.

If they were classmates this info would be common knowledge after a few meals together.

Same with IKEA, even though you can look up the exact box sizes online there are still people trying to fit a sofa into a Fiat 500.

Wasnt it already a PS+ game years before epic? It literally had millions of players on day one.
I dropped it after my steam copy first time asked me to register an epic account, but till then I didn’t see huge issues with the game apart from the DLC milking.
- Comment on Do you prefer to buy games on Steam or GOG? 2 months ago:
Thanks, yes projects like Heroic or Lutris are great, I use both.
It’s just the fact that one of the all time most requested feature on GoG is Linux support for many years, yet its ignored constantly. Its just disappointing.
- Comment on Do you prefer to buy games on Steam or GOG? 2 months ago:
800 games on Steam, 200 on GoG. I love the DRM free stuff, but Steam has so many great features its on a whole other level to be honest.
+Steam deck and Linux support is a huge positive.
GoG Galaxy is great, but also doesn’t have a Linux client, which makes it less convenient. Still GoG has so many gems not available anywhere else that I am willing to split my game library just for the classics.

For many things. For IR or heat activated urinals you can set the sensitivity when they actuate, the flush volume, schedule regular cleaning cycles, and probably a half dozen other things.

In my experience the relatively small selection of the F-droid store is full of these type of games.
Troll patrol Sudoku Unciv Shattered Pixel Dungeon Pirate Solitare
…just to name a few All full versions, no ads or premuim options. Love F-droid, its a shame the selection is quite small.
- Comment on Does different parts of the world use different standards for water pressure similar to voltages? 4 months ago:
The gravity systems are in this case not pressurized. They just have a water tank in the loft/airing cupboard and the hight of the tank determines the pressure. 0.1 bar for every 1 meter height. You open the faucet and gravity pushes out the water.
Its a nightmare, I used to live in UK and these systems are barely enough for anything really.
- Comment on Does different parts of the world use different standards for water pressure similar to voltages? 4 months ago:
No idea what is the story behind it, or if there is a practical reason.
- Comment on Does different parts of the world use different standards for water pressure similar to voltages? 4 months ago:
In europe they mostly use Bars as the unit of measurement.
Mostly water pressure is around 1-2 bars as a minimum, but there are still places using different standards, for example the old style gravity-fed UK watersystems with sub 1 bar pressure, but those are not very common anymore.
Most domestic sanitary products in the EU are designed to be used on 1-5 bar pressure.
I read somewhere the domestic water pressure to be between 4-6 bar, however not sure how realistic it is accross the whole EU and also what you got at the mains and what you got when opening the faucet is two different numbers.
