  This best probably took half as long to build too. The sticks never feel off, they fall at structurally sound angles and the tension as they stack allowed for less sticks to be used to achieve the same height.

  There’s no way i would have gotten any of it done working Mon through Fri as I typically did 10-12 hour shifts. No time and no motivation and def no energy.

  I recently (3 years ago) changed gears employment wise to a 2 week rotating schedule, working 7 days out of 14 plus and flex time usage. 10 years of house projects done in 6 months. New roof, kitchen renovation + new flooring/paint/trim throughout the house. Raised beds built and in use. Vermin proofed half the block to ward off woodchucks. I go fishing whenever.

  60 hour work weeks simply aren’t worth it to me.

  There used to be a sweet spot of early adopter where you could resell early enough and still make back 75% or more of the price. It’s just so prohibitive and unnecessary now to upgrade like that

  I just set up the original steam link with the original controller which was a pita after not having a dongle and spending 2 hours updating. Paired it with my 8bit and it’s ok so far. Still a pita on startup because it doesn’t recognize the 8bit but I’m sure that’s a operator error (xinput or whatever).

  I can’t see myself using anytime other than my 8bit honestly.
