You know what? Fair! I’m also guilty of generally not liking something, experiencing something related to it and just completely forgetting the association when I end up liking it. Kiki’s Delivery Service is my personal fave, so when you get the chance I really hope you enjoy!
I agree with what the other person said. You might click more with seinen anime, which tend to include much more adult oriented conflicts. But you enjoy interpersonal drama/romance though, josei anime is extremely underrated since it’s usually aimed towards women.

It’s really great if you like phones with extremely obvious points of failure. My wife had a zflip where the hinges got stuck and snapped, and they replacement they sent her had the flex cable inside malfunction to the point where it felt like the phone was going to melt. Two different ways to fail in the same spot. The future is here!

I’m sorry… What? I’ve never met a cyclist who was on the road for any reason other than “it’s literally against the law to ride on the sidewalk”, assuming there even is a path for pedestrians to begin with. You’ve got it backwards lol. The people that design our infrastructure in the US are lobbied heavily by the car industry and incentivised to favor them while placating the poors on bikes by painting some shitty lines by the curb and calling it a day. Proper bike infrastructure doesn’t have the issues you mentioned.

It’s one of those social expectations not everyone is comfortable with. I think it comes from a good place though. It’s essentially community sourced mutual aid. For lack of, you know, easy access to aid from society as a whole.

As someone who has received something in a similar vein by simply mentioning I’m a woman and then telling someone I wasn’t interested in having sex with them (quite gently, considering it was inappropriate to ask me), you don’t have to do a damn thing if you run into the right crazy on the wrong day.

Now imagine there’s a song that comes out that you like the themes of. It’s catchy, it hits your buttons just right. One problem: When you play the song, it turns your volume to maximum. Others insist that max volume is part of the artistic intent. You just need to keep on listening at max volume over and over until you can appreciate it. If you could listen to it at a lower volume, it would be a lesser experience. Why? You don’t see what this specific volume has to do with the things you enjoy about the song. People can listen to it at max volume, but there’s plenty of people who would rather listen at the volume they choose. Why not allow for a volume slider?

Yeah that’s the point at least in my eyes. I don’t see why it has to be one way or the other. You have absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain from difficulty accessibility options. If someone sees difficulty as some sort of status symbol… Well, don’t project that onto me.
