When he discovered it’s an easy grift, and even easier way to get attention which is what he really wants. Dude is a sad little man child, constantly searching for adoration. These are not deeply held, or even shallowly held beliefs he’s just doing whatever gets his audience to be nice to him.

I still laugh my ass off when the silverback kidnaps his own daughter for a playdate then sassily shuffles away at light speed and seats the ball out of the way while the mom is in the background like “for fucks sake not again”
